for a moment I thought we had hasek in is prime in net instead of miller - navinrjohnson
No one came close to saying that. When I said Miller lost to Ward because of our injured D, you said you were a results guy and those were excuses, I pointed out that Hasek didn't get it done here either, no excuses.
Whenever we talk about Miller in the playoffs you always say he lost to the opposing goalie as if he was always outplayed. Same can generally said about Hasek. He lost to Belfour no excuses |

Still pissed we got rid of Pommer first....
he is easily 2nd best in his group of closest comparables...
I'd only take david Backes ove rhim...
Fleischman, Pacioretty, Malone, Laich, Whitney, Marchand, Erat, Cole, Jokinen, Burrows, Legwand, Leino, Purcell, Umberger, Ladd, Versteeg, Michalek, Callahan, and Ruutu. |

So basically Ron Hextall circa 1995 > Hasek |

there has to be a big bag of shut up somewhere for you to be looking for right now? - JVince11
It's just the truth if you want to keep dreaming up fantasy scenarios where you get massive hauls for that guy go ahead. I don't think I said anything to off the mark, it has been a long time since he did anything. |

A jet fan just said that he would be close to liking the deal of...
Miller, Stafford, and Sekera
for
Buff, Burmi, and 13th overall pick.
I really wouldn't be opposed to that trade.. as much as I hate Buff because I think he is a fat ass out of shape twinky eating piece of poop.... I know that he can be a big contributing piece. |

honest question....
How many Sabre games have you actually watched in the last 1-2 years?
or do you just base this off of stats you read online, a highlight on TSN, and playoff results? |

I'd make that trade in a heartbeat. I have liked Big Buff since his days in Chicago and that 13th pick would be sweet.

seems in my split tix I always get the jets games and from talkign to a few jet fans they dont like buff he jsut kinda floats around chasing butterflies occsaionaly cant get out of someones way and checks them and often cant move out of the way of the puck so it hits him and deflects in. |

I agree... Buff could be a solid top 4 contributor with Ehrhoff, Myers, and Sekera/Weber.
Burmi could be a very nice 3C immediately... especially if he finds his scoring touch that he did not in WPG.
that 13th pick has Zadorov/Shinkaruck/Puluck written all over it too.
That would be awfully nice. |

in case you didn't read through my full response....
I am not exactly going to be rushing to buy his jersey.. but I do see his purpose... and in the confines of that trade.. I would like it. |

5.2 for 3 more years.
He'll either have 3 more 50 point seasons or eat his way out of the league. |

oh i know was just throwing that in there. ID take him just not big on him.
plus it would be weird enough a 5'6 kid has a myers jersey then to get a buff jersey to a guy whos 160 would look realy bad |

But since Miller won't fly his wife into Winnipeg from LA, maybe have Vanek as the primary player going from the Sabres in that trade and add something else to the offer from the Jets. |

As an oiler fan ill speak for most. We crave a number 1 goaltender, but you're crazy if you think we're goin to give up anything of value for miller. He is an aging goaltender who honestly will hate edmonton and not renew a contract, an it's known he wants to be in California. So he is therefor not worth gagner and the 7th overall pick let alone just one of them. |
