IMO, Miller is worth a good prospect and a late mid to late first, early second round pick.
- ImThatGuy

Yes this sounds right. I don't understand where Some of these fans are getting the idea he will fetch this massive return from. 2009 Ryan miller gets that return, not this aged version with decent not great numbers. A trade from NYI I could see:

Nino, mid prospect 2nd round pick and maybe a conditional pick on performance or resigning.

Not the ones with strome +, or Bogosian 1st rd pick + I was seeing either. He's just not worth that.

For clarification the conditional pick would be pretty high too, 1st or 2nd rd pick.

I think Miller gets a 1st round pick in the 20's and a small, skillful forward teams see as a 6-10 listed prospect in their system. Darcy thinks small, skilled forwards are steals. Other teams see the limits to what small forwards can do.

Somebody has to clear this up for me... If Miller is worth what everybody says he is, with a year remaining on a 6 mil cap hit, possibly to take off next summer or sign a deal worth even more, how is it that Luongo is regarded as being such a tough deal to swing? Smaller cap hit, signed beyond just the following year and comparable in terms of statistics... Why such blatant disregard?

Because Luongo is signed for 83 more years and is older. Plus Miller is better, not by much but is better

just because goalie value is inflated right now, doesn't mean mean anybody wants a 33 y/o headcase goalie with very little playoff success and a huge cap hit. No one is going to pay for him what Toronto (the city that has less idea how to value players than even you) paid for Bernier. The reason teams are interested in your headcase is to poach him should he be bought out.

Two Eastern Conference Finals doesn't count eh?
That was also coincidently the last time he played on a team that was any good.

Whoever trades for Lu has no choice but to buy him out after next year IMO so basically there both on 1 year deals, teams are just waiting for Lu to get bought out

Because they are stuck until he retires if they don't use the buyout.

Mike Schoop and the Bulldog, talking about how they want dedicated players that will play through a concussion. Schoop Saying they wish Tim COnnolly would have stepped up.

The Buffalo radio hosts, unbelieveable.

Nope, I believe Vancouver will be hit with that, not any team that acquires him.

They are in that area between 11-20 where there is no real difference between them. It comes down to personal choice as to where you list them.

They can buy out Lu any year in the next 8 after next as long as he stays healthy.

I looked it up and played a scenario.

If he were to be traded to Florida this offseason and retired in 2016, the Canucks would have the largest cap recapture penalty between the two teams, but they both would be penalized.

I still remember when one of your guys said Miller was better then Quick. Had he said that during this years playoffs... depending on the game... I may have agreed with him.

they need to buy him out. i know ballard is a guy they want to get rid of but even if they trade him that penalty will always be around. he needs to be bought out as many have said he will be

I dont think Quick would be what he is in LA in Buffalo.
