Doesn't Markov have a NMC?
Plus when you are a new GM coming off a season whereby the team exceeded expectations then you don't go around trading off your core players who have been here for 10 years or so.

I am going to say virtually no chance that Markov is traded, plus Gorges is a year away from being named captain, even if he is overpaid.

Secondly dealing for Letang means at season's end we need to re-sign 2 of the best Dmen in the league to what will be $6 million a year contracts.

I know we have Giop and Markov contracts potentially coming off the books but that is alot of money to spend.
