I don't understand how Leafs fans snivel like little girls with broken pony dolls at the loss of Komarov, but won't consider Ribeiro.

wtf?

- Atomic Wedgie

Ribeiro will do great in a warm climate with an excellent nightlife to enjoy.

the leafs need to upgrade thier fwd propects..they are very thin..almost non existent.
I think monahan is older (by draft age), but he dropped by being in a last place team after they traded graovac and ceci etc... then he had a 10 game suspension.. could be a steal at 6,7,8

- senstroll

Agree,

He'd be my pick in that spot

Still a gamble, which worked out. Burke believed we would NOT come in last but he thought wrong which is why the deal looked so bad before
- Mapleleafs_91

It was gamble on all sides, because there was no guarantee that they'd finish second last either.

Don't worry. I'm pro Ribeiro as well. For cash only and if he produces, I can overlook his past. Easily.

That's crap.

Canadian athletes have access to as much coke as US athletes.

Just ask Tim Raines.

I knew they weren't quite playoff material, but I figured that pick would be in the 5-7 range.

To be honest, I'm more curious as to why we aren't talking about a centre who was a PPG guy last year and is a UFA.

I won't shed a tear if we don't get him.

I just think he should be on the radar, no?

Leafs just potentially traded their 2nd next year, so can't offer sheet that amount.
EDIT oh my bad it's a 1st and 3rd
