Question. Clarkson is good an all, but who replaces Komarov? Guy was great at what he does, not sure we have someone that defensively responsible who could stir up sh!t like he could. Constantly saw him intercept passes too, way more than any other leaf.

If Colorodo could eat half his contract and give him to us for a second rounder, it would be worth taking a flyer on this overrated shell of a formerly good player.

I don't think you put Clarkson on the pk tho. Komarov was much more defensive minded, McClement can't do it all by himself.

Oh baby this made my day. Just when I thought Leafs fans couldnt possibly be stupider.......here is what will actually happen:
1) Riemer will be traded at the draft or, at the latest, before the season starts.
2) Frattin will start the year in the minors after failing to make the Kings.
3) Bernier will become the first good goalie since Felix Potvin to start for the Leafs in the Prime of his career.
4) This goes down as one of if not the best trades in franchise history.,

um... yes they are... Leafs just retained $500k of Frattin and Scriven's salaries in the Bernier trade. That's why they took that deal instead of Matt Read, who is the better player.

You are wrong, unless there is a new rule I don't know about, the Leafs couldnt say trade a second rounder for Stastny and have Colorodo pick up 3 million of his salery and have that 3 Million count towards their cap hit. Burke has been lobbying for this for years and it has not - as far as I know - come to fruition.

Dude, it IS in the new CBA. Look at the Bernier Trade. Leafs are retaining $500K of Frattins salary. Fact!.

and that $500K retained is the only reason they traded Bernier to TO instead of Philly for a better player in Matt Read.

Let's look at your post objectively:

-Reimer WON'T get traded anytime soon, especially not b4 the season starts. However, I believe that eventually Reimer will get dealt WHEN Bernier wins the #1 job for good. So perhaps Reimer will get dealt at the 2014 deadline or the summer of 2014.

-I agree, Frattin had a hard time getting into the Leafs lineup at various times. So it's not out of the question if he has a hard time cracking the Kings lineup. \
