The trade for Ashton was a bust, Aulie is a solid young guy only getting better and defensive, which the team could use right now. Ashton will never play a regular shift in the NHL IMO.

Aulie would look great on the Marlies.

dodged a flying truck tire on the highway... but not quick enough... my bumper is a bit bumped, and scuffed.

Is that something the comprehensive warranty would cover?

Warranty, no. Do not put it through your insurance either. The truck that lost the wheel is liable.

Probably staying since he's not good enough for the NHL.

There are others that did not do well. Pando, White.... White told me that coming from a d - first system to the Sharks was a major change in the way they approach the game. Tuff transition.

Jersey's not really D-first as much anymore though - haven't been since Kovi signing. And Clarkson has flourished in it.

Hockey analysts mean nothing to me. They work for the league, and sportsnet guys work for the LEafs.

He was big in the calder cup two years ago, still a ways from being a top 4 in the NHL but he'll get there soon.

Ok, so not as many as I thought on the breakaway, lot of cycling down low, and the first bunch look like they're either on turnovers or the PP.

Agreed - Defensive systems can compensate for individual weaknesses. Bryzgalov says hi.

thing is, the truck was already pulled over. Somebody else drove over the tire and got it airborne.

Should I go back and see if the truck's still there?

Aulie( I like him) couldn't play for the 3rd worst team in the league. They have a terrible d and he can't crack it.

We're not missing anything.

I have, for many years, and he's always had his best games against the Leafs. He disapears for long stretches and is a streaky player. I love the type of player he is, but the window to get him and not overpay for him or even overpay him has passed. I was on here 3 years ago saying he'd be a great acquisition and cheap because at the time he was earning a lot of cash and producing crap. Then he had the 30 goal season (much of it was similar to Kulimen's 30 goal season), and now he's all the rage.
- mykokes

if you have watched him 'for many years' you will know he is not a third liner.

I don't actually know.

You might want to call your insurance company or the police (don't call 911!) and ask them.

I think the idea would be trade Reimer, and then sign a vet as backup.

If it happens.

Not saying it will.

- Atomic Wedgie

That would counter Nonis' comment of "Nothing is guaranteed to anyone" in making Bernier the starter. Nonis comes from Burke's mindset in that competition within the system makes for better players. I don't think Quick would be as good as he is if Bernier wasn't there. So either Bernier gets his starter role, or Reimer becomes a Quick.
