Whats your take on johnson being included with stastny in some trade involving phaneuf packaged up - Mapleleafs_91
I'de rather keep Bozak and worry about the D. The only thing this team needs to worry about is D. |

Not at all, but May knows most of those guys, he could be lying, but with Dion's personality coming out of Calgary and such, it's probly true. - aminnes
You can see how people are going to be a little incredulous that you would trade a guy who finished 11th in Norris voting because Brad May doesn't like him.
Carlyle has a Norris Trophy and a Cup ring. Phaneuf was his go-to stud.
Brad May got paid to get punched in the head. |

I know, some guys like Grabs. I don't think we've sen Bozak's ceiling yet ad wouldn't mind, especially sice offense wasn't a problem. But regardless, Defense. |

Even if he is fat, he is still one hell of a player. Solid guy no matter what - Mapleleafs_91

I don't put a lick of stock on the writers picks for awards. None. Half those guys never laced up a skate in their lives. |

I agree D needs to be the main focus, and if bozak was still under contract I'd be fine to keep him. But he's asking for too much. More than he's worth. So we need a replacement. Peraonally I like Kadri for line 1. Easiest and cheapest way to go.

I know dozzer was talking about hainsey for cheap as well maybe hed be a better fit than whitney since whitney is injury prone but i still like the idea of stealing bostons players in ference and possibly horton if not horton clarkson then |

even if try real hard and don't see his ceiling being higher than what we've seen from Grabo in the last 3 years (this year aside).
25+ goals just isn't in Bozak's wheelhouse.

Yep, thats fine too. I'm pretty sure Clarksons coming, he's been talking to Kostopulous who frinds with a bud of mine, so really just shore up the D. I think if Dion is traded, it has less to do with him and more to do with the captaincy. I just have that feeling, could be wrong but some of the stuff he did this year did look really bad. |

I could see that.
Don't see Horton signing with LEafs - he's gonna get big numbers thrown at him. Edmonton should take a huge run.
rather Clarkson, if for no other reason than I think he'll be a bit cheaper, and doesn't have Horton's soft noggin. |

and again... I haven't said that. All I have said is he's the best D the Leafs have. Period.
and it's a significant gap.

I would have been happy if he even looked at him. There were many times this year he was caught waving his stick at guys in front. He has all the physical elements but a low hockey IQ. |

Off topic here but I sure hope the Leafs sign Mike Ribeiro to be their new number one center. Look what he did for Ovi and the Caps power play, he is responsible for them returning to form. His playmaking is off the charts and would fit great with Kessel and Lupul, don't bash me, just get him signed. |
