I think the Leafs deserve a better captain/face of the franchise.
I'll leave it at that.

robin knows all the work dion does in the community.
he knows about how dion treats the kids with autorgraphs, pictures, all that jazz..
here is a little dion phaneuf story for ya.
at a game in detroit, a few kids and parents all lined up by the bus when the leafs go to the game...half the team loads on the bus and the little kids are yelling for players to come over and sign autographs...every leaf but 2 of them gets on the bus.
Lupul and Phaneuf go over, sign augographs and take pictures with the kids.
only team i can think he MIGHT not be is Chicago. thats it. - big_dion
I was gonna say that, as well. Keith and Seabrook beat him out.
I think he'd be #1 on most teams in the league, as well...
Philly, Washington, Carolina, Tampa, Vancouver, San Jose, Anaheim, Colorado, Dallas, both New Yorks, Buffalo, Edmonton, Florida, Columbus, Calgary, New Jersey, Winnipeg.
Lot of non-playoff teams there, but hey- still NHL teams.

Dion fans often get quite agitated when he get criticized.
I normally don't bother cause most of the flack he takes comes from Leaf fans themselves.
A non-leaf fan says something and they go all 'leaf hater'
But as you all know I love the Leafs!

could be worse, he could be 19 and already injured for the rest of his career because he was thrown to the wolves (NHL) too early...between RNH and Hall its going to be a band-aid of a century for you oiler fans.

what a terrible face to the franchise he is. - big_dion
I heard that the Penguins' bus broke down one time on the side of a country road, and Crosby was the only guy who got off the bus and played on a frozen pond next to the road.
Every other Penguin stayed on the bus.
A friend of mine told me about it - he didn't actually get to play with Crosby, 'cause he was getting some Timmy's coffee, but it's still a true story.
