Yeah, Bickell has been great but he is playing with two all world players.

They would have the room for that. I like Hendricks, but also need to make sure you don't overpay for him, because he's only scored 17 points the last two years -- under $2 million and I'm fine with signing him, and putting him on the fourth line with Boyle (who would move to wing). Also, if you re-sign Clowe and sign Hendricks, you no longer need to trade Hagelin for Glencross. The toughness would be there, and then the speed in Hagelin would be more important.

That's why I don't get the hate for Pyatt. We seem to say we'd be okay with Hendricks for $2MM per but he's smaller, older and has scored fewer points in the last two seasons than Pyatt. Granted, Hendricks is a center and consequently more valuable on the open market and is only 2 months older. Still, we want bigger guys who can score and yet people here want to dump Pyatt and his $1.55MM cap hit and sign Hendricks, a 4th line player, and are willing to give him up to $2MM per? That makes little sense to me. Pyatt isn't perfect but for his price tag and what he can do I am fine with him skating on our 3rd or 4th line this season.

I always liked Blosival on the Rangers...the problem though was he could never consistently live up to that 5 mil cap hit he had. He was solid though.
