Zidlicky still is pretty good tho. He always plays good vs rangers
- Slimtj100

Zidlicky is ass as far as I know. The devils hated him and said he was only useful on the pp and he even sucked at that (devils led the league in short handed goals against I believe when he was manning the point).

If move one of your defensemen in a deal for a forward, maybe the Rangers will be in the market for a low cost 4-5-6 defensemen. Otherwise, I see no need for that type of player.

Eminger is not that bad that we keep discrediting him. Hes been getting better every year.

I dont mind him as a 7th dman. Can't see a guy like eminger in the top 6 of a cup winner.

He's an adequate 6th or 7th defensman but I think we can do better

Kings have 3 RFA Dmen... Martinez, Muzzin, Ellerby...

Maybe we can try to trade for the rights to one of them... preferably Muzzin.

I have my doubts he will be a #1 Dman again, however, I think he can be a top 4 Dman...

Hes just too smart and has such elite instincts that they will help him over come and adjust to the vision.

I hope you are right; want nothing more for him than to return successfully.

Nathan Horton will most likely need shoulder surgery.

I am hearing a ton of trade rumors and none involve the Rangers, thus far.

We will know a lot more, on where they stand, when they make a decision on the Richards situation. If kept, I don't see much movement, other than taking care of their own.

You know he sucks when a potential lottery team next season wants no part of him.

We clearly need depth on D if staal is still iffy because we had hamrlik and eminger playing regular minutes. If mcilrath doesn't pan out we need at least one of those guys. Personally, I think we could do worse then ference or zidlicky. Eminger is good for a fill in from game to game. Not a regular shift its puts all the pressure on the top 4 which is part of the reason why the top 4 runs out of gas.

if they were keeping Richards, it would be nice to tell him. Because having a guy on the roster making 10% of our salary cap next season should be relaxed and confident that the team actually wants him.

If Richards isn't bought out where is the money coming from to sign anyone?

Good point but literally I am hearing of a lot of trade scenarios and not a single one from NY. Plus, with the cap decreasing and Richards likely not being bought out, there isn't any wiggle room to make moves aside from taking care of their own.

I think someone said that a player has to go through waivers before being bought out so we might not see anyone get bought out for 24 hours or so

The team has already made their decision regarding Richards. Obviously, they have not told him or the public as of yet.

He said both... so I dont think theyre "feverishly" shopping MDZ, but his name must be popping in multiple trade scenarios the Rangers are looking at.
