Mcd, Girardi, mdz, moore in top 4. Then we have stralman as the #5 and maybe mcilrath or a ufa as the 6th guy. Maybe we can get jamie mcbain in the deal too. - rangerdanger94
Ok. I'm not sure MDZ days aren't numbered as a Ranger, but we'll see. Who would take at #5, if they could get there? |

It looks no different that what it was, you say that as if we have never played without Staal.
Girardi, MDZ
Moore, McDonagh
Stralman, Eminger
Its also been 3 years since we drafted McIlrath, I think its about that time we get to see what hes made of. |

In the way I would rank them:
Barkov
Drouin
Nichushkin |

One of drouin, barkov, or nichuskin will be there. I think it will be nichuskin and id be ecstatic with any of them.
if staal is traded, I cant see mdz being traded shortly after. That would decimate one of the best and deepest defenses in the league. |

Pretty much what it looked like for half of last year, hopefully with an upgrade of Eminger on the back end of the unit

Only thing I can think of for an upgrade and someone to clear the crease is Doug Murray. |

Better chance of Chicago buying out Hossa, although, I could see them swallowing it if it means more Stanley Cups. |

No way. He is one of the best defensemen in the league, and the cap hit will like a bargain for the majority of his contract. |

Boston has told Ference he will not be resigned, 34 but still a very reliable defensman, if we do decide to trade one of those 2 I think we can still have the chance to replace them adequately |

Worth noting
@TSNBobMcKenzie: Compliance buyout period technically begins at 11 p.m. ET tonight - 48 hrs after Cup final - but buyouts cannot proceed w/o waivers first.
@TSNBobMcKenzie: Buyout period ends 5 p.m. ET on July 4, so if my understanding is correct, noon on July 3 is last time player can go on waivers for buyout. |

No, Keith is not going anywhere.
I think the Rangers are working feverishly to make a deal before the draft. I'm not sure if it's for a puck shooting Dman, or to move up significantly in the draft. I'm also convinced it's MDZ at the center of the deal. Will it happen? 50/50. |

I hope theyre talking with Rutherford about #5. With this draft, and a pick that high, for a team like this, it could be HUGE! Could alter the state of the franchise. |

Whoever they draft with the 5th pick, if they got it, will most likely be starting the season on the roster...
Barkov at 3C, Drouin probably at 2LW, Nichushkin probably on the 2nd or 3rd line wing, he plays both sides. |
