And you're blaming the actions of adults (adults who have always behaved this way) on a coach.
I made an extreme comparison so you could see how dumb what you were saying was. I'm sure you stopped posting because someone unplugged your computer and it took you 2 years to fix it. - djamon
Yeah explain it however you like when you got called out on a dumbass comparison and Kesler didn't behave this way until AV came along. As for Burrows, he is a product of AV. |

I won't speak for anyone else here...but I will NEVER shut the frank up.
But you could be right...I'm constantly amazed at the stupidity of NHL GM's. I still think there's a chance someone will jump the gun and trade for Luongo. Not for much at all mind you. - djamon
Ya no doubt Lu wouldn't get much at this point.. but I also believe there is one team desperate enough to make that move. The cap hit is low enough.. and he is still a top 10 goalie in this league.
I wouldn't be surprised if either goalie gets moved (perhaps even both).. and go from there. I just want it to be over.. so people can stop anointing Gillis the worst GM of all time.. even though he has brought in some great players. And signed some very reasonable contracts. He isn't the best.. but he is far from the worst. |

Ya who knows.. but I believe AV was a big part of that mess. SO perhaps him being gone will help the situation?
Its so hard to tell whats real and whats being played out by the media - kneughter
Luongo is a great goaltender. I know Schneids looks good but you have a proven starter top ten goalie there that was signed to a huge contract. The guy took so much blame for the playoffs. Never understood this whole thing from the get go? You could've got a good return on Schneider some team would've overpayed for him and kept IMO a world class goalie that's why the constant protection of Gillis by some of Canucks fans is mind boggling. there were to me better options some obvious IMO. This being one of them. |

LUO will not be bought out...so other Teams dont Hold u r Breath... - Canuckfan2006
And on that note no other team is going to pick up that ridiculous contract so Vancouver don't hold your breath.
Seriously is Gillis waiting for another team to blink? His team is being held hostage by the fact they have over $9M in cap $ tied up in 2 tenders. So yeah, keep waiting for the other guys to blink at the detriment of your current team that has a rapidly closing cup window with no farm system to extend that window. |

I personally would take Luongo over both Fleury and Vokoun. I'd take him over any thing we have for that matter if it costs us nothing and it's only for a few years. |

The Pens' problem is their starting goalie, who is very good in the regular season, has struggled in the playoffs. Why replace him with a older goalie who is very good in the regular season, but struggles in the playoffs??? |

What's with this perception that Luongo struggles in the playoffs? It's just not true. His numbers during the playoffs are almost exactly the same as his regular season numbers.
And both are significantly better than MAF's. |

Thats because its easier to blame the goalie because he lets the goals in, rather than the offense when they cant score to help the goalie out. |

In the last 2 postseasons, he is 0-4 and has allowed 13 goals. Vokoun has pretty equal numbers career wise as Luongo, and better post season numbers.
Plus, between Lou and MAF, one has won a cup. |

Goalies will always take the blame for blowout series like against the B's. The Canucks collapsed as a team after game 2. Up to that point, he was the leading vezina candidate.
The other issue is that in previous years, he looked better in the playoffs - such as the year they played Dallas and he single handedly carried the team. The Boston and LA series losses were due to complete team failures against very good teams.

Man this contract is killer
I bet if Lou had 680 games less on this same contract, Gillis would have amassed a fortune for him |

Couldn't agree with you more.. I think a deal with the Islanders may be a great situation for both teams.
Perhaps Schneider and Edler for _____ ______
