To Florida: Luongo, Ballard and the rights to Raymond
To Vancouver: Bjugstad, Gudbranson and Florida's 1st.
I've suggested this before and most people agree that it's a good deal for both clubs. Panthers get the best goalie in the NHL, a solid top 4 d-man in Ballard and a proven top 6 forward in Raymond. The Canucks take on a couple of younger projects in Bjugstad and Gudbranson. They can take a chance with another prospect with Florida's pick. Canucks get younger and the Panthers get some nice pieces to put them over the top in the Eastern Conference. This is the kind of deal I could see happening. - hankthetank

I'd do this fo sure. Honestly, I just want all this to be done and over with because I'm so sick of reading what everyone thinks they deserve and what they'll get or if they'll get anything at all. I think if it's Florida all they'll get is something like Upshall for Luongo with maybe a decent prospect...maybe. This has been going on for way too long. - CanUSA17
I bet you would!
At this point, the Canucks should be happy to get Jovo back from FLA. |

Fun to speculate, but the reality is;
THERE IS NO TRADE MARKET FOR BRYZ or LOU.
They are buy outs or hold on to them.
The cap is 64 M next year.
No gm is going put his head on the block getting either one of those contracts. |

statistically.. watch the games. The game against detroit hurt his stats, plus it doesn't help that he didn't know what was going on one day to the next. - lkeh73
Yeah, that's the reason that he didn't have good stats. I would rather have a goalie that wins games. |

That's why he didn't do as good as he normally does. Have you ever been sad and tried to carry on with your life? It's very challenging. That's what Luongo was going through last year. He knew he was going to have to leave his friends and team mates so he was pretty sad. - hankthetank

You're an islanders fan. If you don't think Luongo would make your team better, you're just delusional |

Damn.. you put me in a tough spot... I don't know if I should believe you (a nobody) or Bobby Mac and Dreger. Who say there is interest for Luongo. And see him being traded ($ retention)
I'm going to have to think about this for awhile... |

He would make the Islanders better, but not at the price of giving up ANYTHING to take on that contract. The only way i could see the Isles getting Lou is if he gets bought out. |

Realistically, i don't know how anybody thinks its crazy to think he goes nowhere.
The signing of Joacim Eriksson might mean more than people realize.. he's probably at least ready to be a backup. |

Islanders need to get to the cap floor.
I could see something like Hamonic, Dehaan and the Islanders first for Luongo. |

Who said he wouldn't? I just said that he's not the best goalie in the league. If he is bought out, I would be happy if they got him. But, I don't want to give up what your asking, and I don't even want his contract. Also, the Isles have Poulin and Nilson in their system. |

The only person that is REALLY putting that out is the idiot GM in Vancouver and that is who Dreger is quoting. Give your head a shake.

The only thing Dreger has said on Luongo in the past week is that the Canucks are still confident they will be able to trade Luongo. |

So then the Isles would now have Lu AND DiPietro's contracts to deal with... Where do they sign?!?!? |

GM's are pretty dumb at times, but really, is anyone dumb enough to take Luongo's contract? I find that really hard to believe. |

Yeah, Hamonic is not going anywhere. No way that Luongo gets a better return then Bernier. I could see a prospect and a 3 or 4th for Luongo. That's about the best deal the Canucks will get. |

Like I said, Islanders need to reach the cap floor. They should be thankful they at least get the best goalie in the league by doing so rather than over paying some UFA to a ridiculous contract. |

Are you serious? I sure hope not. There is absolutely no chance the Isles have DP and Lu on the roster next year. The Isles have to resign Bailey and Hamonic so there's some money. He is not the best goalie in the league!!! If the signed Nabby again, he would not be overpaid. |

He had some good ones the other day but the act is getting a little tired. the sad thing is some of his fellow Canuck fans had proposals that were even more crazy than his and they were serious. |

The current top 3 are:
1. Luongo
2. Lundqvist
3. Quick |
