To Florida: Luongo, Ballard and the rights to Raymond
To Vancouver: Bjugstad, Gudbranson and Florida's 1st.
I've suggested this before and most people agree that it's a good deal for both clubs. Panthers get the best goalie in the NHL, a solid top 4 d-man in Ballard and a proven top 6 forward in Raymond. The Canucks take on a couple of younger projects in Bjugstad and Gudbranson. They can take a chance with another prospect with Florida's pick. Canucks get younger and the Panthers get some nice pieces to put them over the top in the Eastern Conference. This is the kind of deal I could see happening. |

That's not the reason both Crosby and the Canucks are hated (and they haven't dominated for years btw.) Both are perceived to whine and female dog too much. The one nice thing with Torts coming in - perhaps the only good thing is that will change. As well for the Canucks, the diving issues killed their rep

I agree with you man. Unfortunately we're just watching, and not making any decisions.
It's a show, and the show must go on. If any GM wants to improve their goaltending, Luongo is their best option ATM. - Gullzy
Only if he gets bought out. I do not think any team out there will give up assets AND take on that contract to get him. |

I love how Crosby has average 1.28 pts/game in his career in the postseason, has won a cup, and constantly chokes in the playoffs. - cap1681
Yeah, stats are great. But his next forecheck in the playoffs will be his first. Sooner or later, fans will realize that Crosby's version of flag football on ice does not carry a team to the promise land. |

Luongo for Gardiner, Bozak, Kadri, and Toronto's 1st but no instead your team wants an unproven small goalie. - CanUSA17
Haha, touche, i knew i would spell something wrong. |

Actually it is. Like I said, they get a top 4 d-man, a top 6 forward and the best goalie in the league. How is that a bad deal for any team? |

Every team "whines". If I see a blown call, I yell at the TV. If a player sees a blown call, he'll bring it up with the refs.

Once again, you forget the fact that it DID lead to the promise land.

Let me guess, you think the goaltending tandem of Dipietro and Nabokov is the best in the NHL?
Look at Luongo's numbers. He has been the best goalie in the league for about a decade now. When he wants to he can take over a game. - hankthetank
so i disagree and then you make an even dumber comment; im certain your winning the people over |

Just saying, Nabby is a UFA and DP was in Bridgeport for half the year. And the best goalie in the league is Lundqvist and that's coming from an Isles fan. |

Martin Brodeur and his 4 Vezina trophies in the last 10 years say otherwise. |

Maybe not the best answer but I'd rather have a small Italian American with a temper than a puzzy French Canadian. Oh yeah and this coach has a Cup under his belt. |

as to your point of "look at luongos numbers"...these are his numbers:
2013:
In 20 games he was 9-6-3 (18 starts)
Tied for 26th for save percentage among goalies with 20 or more games played and 21st GAA
but maybe we have different definitions of "best goalie in the NHL" |
