anyone else find the rangers and canucks coach swap amusing?

also, what's the over-under on how many times the hawks winning the cup over the flyers in 2010 is mentioned on tonight's broadcast?

They're up there. But they don't get NEARLY as much journalistic oral as Led Zepplin does.
- jmatchett383

The Doors are much more overrated than Led Zepplin imo. A lot of the attention Zepplin gets is due to the fact that Jimmy Page is generally regarded as one of the great rock guitarists of his generation, if not all time. The Doors can make no such claim about anyone in that band. In fact, most of their music is pretty much beginner level difficulty. Not saying they suck or anything like that. I actually like both bands. But the overall quality of their musicianship is not even in the same class as Zepplin.

Granted, Morrison wrote some pretty interesting and trippy lyrics, but their instrumental work is pretty basic. So while Zep does tend to get a lot more love from the critics than they may deserve, they at least had quality, innovative musicians in their band. Same can't really be said for the Doors.

I'll take the contrary view on the Carle's 6 /$33 contract million being a better contract than Streit's 4/$22.

Now if you want to talk over-rated I would say Rolling Stones and Jimmy Hendricks. Jimmy was a great guitarist, but not enough music to make him as good as he is.

I really like Hendrix, but anybody who claims his national anthem was anything more than noise is full of it. Just putting that out there.

What do you think our low brand of English would sound like to a proper Victorian gentleman?

American vernacular is going to continue to evolve whether we like it or not -- embrace it and the transition will be all the less painful.

Your grasp of Ebonics is lacking, yo.

Also, my browser gave me the red squiggles for not capitalizing Ebonics.

A two year track record in Philadelphia suggest Bryzgalov won't play well. Fact.
- PLindbergh31

What's also a fact is that's not the only track record for Bryzgalov. He has been a Vezina finalist in the past. And what's not a fact, is that two year track record doesn't automatically mean that he can't, or won't play well this upcoming Season. If he's still here.

Bleacher reports most over rated draft eligible players:

Ryan Pulock of the Brandon Wheat Kings is one of the better offensive defenceman in the WHL. He is a converted forward who has one of the best shots in the entire CHL. The conversion to defence may be an important factor in his future since his defensive game is not nearly as developed as his offensive abilities.

Ryan needs to improve his mobility even more to be an elite defenceman in the NHL. With his tremendous shot and his willingness to take chances in the offensive zone, he could become a power-play specialist in the pros, but he has work to do to become an everyday top-four blueliner.

Pulock has a great deal of potential. However, it remains to be seen if he can capitalize on it in the next two or three seasons, given the work he needs to do to improve elements of his skating.
