Miller? No. Vanek? YES!! And I don't know if I'd take miller over all those guys. What will it take to get Vanek?
- NYI44

Your 1st and a good prospect. Maybe a roster player too. Realistically that's what Darcy is probably looking for

I would definitely give up the first and a decent prospect, but he's a UFA after this year so he must be resigned for a longer contract.

That would just be dumb
We will likely pick top3 in the next two drafts

Vanek to NJ for #9+, or CBus for 14 & 19
Miller to NYI for #15+, or Philly for #11+
Myers for #5
Ehrhoff + for #7

That's how u jump start a "rebuild"

We get our "superstars" in the next 2 drafts,
We build our depth now in this deep draft

No way second and Strome but I would think 1st and Nino would do. Why do you guys want to trade him?

Trade Miller?

The sabres are looking to rebuild and look to fresh new faces...that being said..

Sabres + Asset for Miller > Miller + Sabres

Looking to be competitive in 2=3 years, what good is Miller now?

Miller + Vanek for Strome + Neids + 1st. That would put the Islanders on top.

I meant Vanek and trading Strome would not be good at all. Strome is the top prospect in an organization with tons of good prospects. I don't think Vanek will put the isles on top, but it will definetly help. I'm actually surprised (but happy) that you guys are saying that we're ready to win the cup so soon. I still think we need a couple years, but the future definitely looks promising. That being said, I don't think Miller is the answer and you cannot trade Strome.

Yeah. I don't know about Miller. I feel that there are better options out there. I wouldn't mind trading our first round pick, but I'm not sure if Miller is the answer. Why do you guys want to get rid of him so badly?
- NYI44

We are rebuilding.. he wont be good by the time we are. his contract is up at the end of next season.. trying to get as much value for him as possible instead of drurying it

you are not really that far off. better defense/goalie and maybe one more top 6 guy.. that could all be done this offseason

He will not resign here due to the rebuild. You guys are a Vanek & maybe a Miller away from a really good run.

If so, he's made some solid choices. Hopefully he makes some more in around 158 hours.

"Regier would be able to ask for, and receive, a top six forward, a top four D, and a first round draft choice for Miller."

you are obviously

1. the stupidest person ever to walk upon the face of the earth or
2. a Sabres home-boy with no sense of value or
3. have sniffed so much glue that you have liquifed what once was a brain or
4. All of the above

im wagering on # 4

If Darcy gets that he'd be the new messiah walking on water

F.Y.I. Milbury doesnt run a team any longer

and as it is The lSLES GM hates Miller since their playing days

so I seriously doubt he'd trade for him

That where I think we should get that top guy from our system. We have Nino and Strome. One can definitely and most likely become a to 6 forward. For defense, we have Donovan and Reinhardt. I'd rather see what our guys can do. I agree with trading for a top defenseman and they obviously need a goalie. Vanek would be a great addition. You guys are starting a rebuild, and we can trade the #15 pick so a Vanek trade can really help both teams.

Ehrhoff would fit in great but I cant see Darcy giving up Vanek and Ehrhoff without Strome coming back....

We have to remember that Garth really doesn't make player trades But, I can really see Vanek helping out. And also, you guys would benefit from the #15 and possibly a prospect.

Every team has had picks like these. People who single out bad picks by a team clearly don't have any idea of how many successful players teams draft.
