What international? AHL? When? Only one i see is qmjhl.

And he didn't play 1 single second in the playoffs last year in the cup win.

Has a gold medal from the 08 world juniors, 2012 Spengler cup championship. Played for relatively successful u-18, summit series teams as well. He definitely has some international hardware.

I was definitely wrong about the ahl, he won goaltender of the year the year I was under the impression he won a Calder cup.

You are bang on about his cup. The noteworthy part of it is a cup ring. He has one, we don't.

His zero mins were invaluable.... anyone could have sat on the bench in those playoffs and NOT played a single second.

Gold medal in WJC.... as a backup. Played 2 games and had stats<< Mason.

People are loosing their poop about the guy..... lets take it easy.

It's easy to be cynical about it, regardless.. He has one more ring than a lot of current leafs.

I'm not losing my poop about anything. I've been a bernier fan since his junior days, so naturally, I'm a little excited he's a leaf. He had an exceptional junior career, was drafted high.. And sparkled while transitioning to the NHL. He's far ahead of many other young goaltenders in similar circumstances. Well ahead.

I always felt that he would have an exciting career, and would be a first class starter in this league. If anything, its exciting to have him on the same bench as Reimer, who I feel has over exceeded as a starter. We've just doubled our odds to have a championship winning starting goaltender in my eyes.

I'm not acting like he's the second coming of Jesus, and there's nothing wrong with being excited/optimistic.
