Gagner is a waste of time, he has never broke out and his 40 pts per season isn't really a big upgrade over bozak. Plus his faceoff win percentages are terrible, 43.9 this year.

I see stastny as the best option available. Plus i don't see how gagner will be the key factor between kessel and jvr. Is he even good defensively?

Having said that, the whispers are that Mr. Ranger wants to stay close to home (Toronto area) for one reason or another.

So I don't think Edmonton is a great fit.
