Reimer's a really good goalie, aside from his glove hand, which something needs to be done about

and his rebound control... and his puck handling...

but aside from that...

The one thing I'm going to love about Bernier is that he can handle the puck properly. The ability to play the puck is really underrated with goalies imo. It makes life a lot easier for the D. With Reimer it's always an adventure behind the net.

Handle it like you handle a girls hand on a first date

If you dropped Reimer in LA instead of Toronto the last few years, his stats would be unreal.

Goalies are a strange bunch. Not even real hockey players.

Just saying. Bernier played in front of a way superior defense. You have to assume Reimers stats would have to be better to some degree. Bernier's flaws will be all over this thread in 4 months time.

cause he's too much of a little female dog to do it himself. We're all used to that.

So if they renamed the Air Canada Centre the Box Of Crusty Dildos Wrapped In Used Tampons Covered In Poo, would you refer to it as that or rather the ACC still?

maybe jumping the gun just a bit?
- Big_Lightnin

He's wanted a veteran back-up for months and he's wanted Bernier even longer.

It seems Reimer is the one left standing in musical chairs here. Really, to me the most telling thing is that they continued to shop for a guy with #1 ability regardless of Reimer's impressive numbers.

If they trusted Reimer enough to be a #1A/1B, they'd probably just make him a #1.

His rebound control was never an issue until the Bruins showed up.

It's amazing how difficult it is to stop rebounds with Lucic, Horton, Chara, etc crashing your net.

He's always had rebound control problems. There was obviously enough concerns on Nonis part that he felt an upgrade was needed

His rebound control was awful on occasion throughout the entire season. Last season too. It wasn't just the Boston series.

well, yes and no. It was an issue all year, but not many teams in the East have forwards big enough to crash hard against Phaneuf or Fraser and take advantage.

Bruins do, and as we've learned yet again, road to the cup is going through Boston. nobody else in the east can even compete with them
