Nonis isn't interested in a 1A/1B, and if he thought Reimer was a starter, he would have just rolled with Reimer and Scrivens again.

He thinks Bernier is legit and that Reimer isn't, and if a .924 sv% isn't going to change that, nothing will.

He had Reimer, Scrivens, and Bernier and he's going all in on Bernier. Hell of a gamble.

The one thing I'm going to love about Bernier is that he can handle the puck properly. The ability to play the puck is really underrated with goalies imo. It makes life a lot easier for the D. With Reimer it's always an adventure behind the net.

i Disagree, I don't see the need or temptation to move Reimer at this point.

Looking at it like that, then yeah its an upgrade. Leafs have finally found a goalie, a home-grown goalie none the less, who can be a starter in this league, and then they go and try to upgrade.

As I said before, I don't believe in having a 1A and 1B tandem. They have never been successful.
