Bernier's GAA is better, every year in fact, and career SV% is .003 worse.

SO's per games played is identical.

only thing Reimer has over him is games player.

The differences in their career stats aren't significant enough to care about.

You guys are putting a lot of stock in a fairly risky scenario there. Bernier plays in front of a pretty superior team and certainly a way better defense. If thats the call and Reims goes, Nonis' entire stock is in Bernier's hands. Risky risky.

He's a first round pick, of course theyre gunna say he's a future star. And yes people have said he's a legit number one goalie. Be stubborn though...

You've completely gone against what you just stated a few moments ago...

And playing behind those guys in LA, way different. Bernier sees two second shots a game. The sad part about the "getting a vet" line the leafs have been spouting and then to do this, is that Reimer will take it, and they know it. Bernier needs to go to Jersey, they have old balls in net and cap issues. Put Bernier in a package and try to upgrade in other areas that are actually a problem.

Reimer averaged 39 shots against per game in the playoffs. And those were quality shots from the EC champions.

We can talk about Reimer blowing it for 10 minutes (though, there's more to it than that), but without his .923 in the playoffs, that series should have been over in 5 games.

NHL isnt about feelings or poop, its their job, they fight for their job. Just like everyone else to get a spot, to earn their minutes and be on a nhl team or in this case the leafs. Reimer will have to fight with bernier for playing time. But either way i see them splitting it equally the share load. Better for us, they wont be tired come playoff time

Remember watching him play when he was like 18 or whatever, years ago, and how highly he was touted even then.

He poop the bed in the end but he was the guy who made the damn bed in the first place so it's hard to fault him on that too much.

In all honesty I agree with your first part. I would much rather have them adress the more pressing needs.
But nonis said if there is a chance to upgrade any position for the right price, he'd have to look into it. And he did.
And there is a risk it wont work

At this time it isn't an upgrade though. In a few years, maybe, but not now. Reimer was told that he would the number one and NOnis stated that he was trying to get a mentor for him. This move will do nothing but cause controversy.

Oh ya, for sure. If Nonis trades Reimer he better be sure boy. But Reimer was awesome it's that simple, defensive coverage was the main reason for the loss to Boston, not just in game seven, but the whole series.. Nonis could be making a job threatning decision here. I guess he likes living on the edge.
