Id rather have weiss instead of giving up assets for that fool, especially gardiner who is key going into the future with. Franson is key too. Phaneuf i dont mind trading away unless a big piece is coming back... which i keep looking at bobby ryan might be an interesting piece to look at regarding a phaneuf trade. If phaneuf is being traded to edmonton, only way he is traded is if their 1st rounder comes our way

Ya, I am little teed off at both Scrivens and Frtts going. If Fratts can bag 20+ and scrivs is a decent backup, leafs lose the trade, unless Bers can rally rip it up of course.

Not really concerned for phaneuf leaving a gap. We have about 4 defenders that are capable of being in the 3 pairings. Free agency can do the rest for us

Seeing what Bernier commanded and what the market for centers is always like every off-season, a Stastny is going to come at a steep price. Might be better off loading up on the wing to make up for lack of size up the middle; good off-season for wingers.

No no, but it's the whole of the deal. Unless Bernier is really awesome its a trade that won't be realized for a while. Bernier to me might have required one of the two of Scrivens and Frattin, both hmmmm, time will tell.

Bernier is considerably better than Scrivens. Fact. Period. Not even debatable. Frattin was 3rd liner with Leafs and will be lucky to crack LA's roster at all, unless they lose a couple people. Yes, he had a hot start and we had high hopes for him... well Mike Kostka had a hot start too...

This is a good trade for the Leafs. Goaltending tandem is significantly improved, and all it cost was Frattin and a flexible 2nd round pick. With Bernier there, Scrivens wouldn't make the team anyway, and had very little trade value on his own.

Cue all 2 overprotective Bozak lovers telling us how important hesis to the team.
