Frattin was a 3rd line guy, who can be replaced easily ( i still loved him though) was about as effective as joey crabb just more noticeable, scrivens was scrivens and a second. I have no problem with this, just need to commit to Bernier as number one, if value is there not surprised to see reimer moved at draft or trade deadline if Bernier lives up to the hype.

Yup, Nonis probly says, beat out james forthe spot or dont. Its a gamble but the Leafs have the assets.

Frattin could definitely be the guy that determines if we won or lost the trade.

The good thing is that we'll know one way or the other next year. If he doesn't break out, he probably never will.

Next year is the year we see if he can find his pre-injury form. If he hadn't blown out his knee, he could very well have been in our top six by now.

again, Reimer was not alone out there... but it appeared like it.

Carlyle had a chance for a time out as well I believe - didn't use it.

- BorjeFan4Ever

He certainly was not alone.
But, getting a whistle by anything other than icing the puck, could have
stopped the onslaught.
Maybe.
The time out not being used? Your guess is as good as mine.

Frattin isn't a 22yo kid... he's closer to 26 is he not???
he can skate, and shoot the puck, but as inconsistant as any player that
was on the leafs roster.... and he is replaceable.

Except that we lost nearly every draw cleanly.

Controlling a rebound and covering for a whistle a couple of times may
have been enough. Stopping "panic mode", getting a line change.

winning a (frank)ing faceoff would have helped a lot more...

Can anyone say Toskala 2.0? Nonis is an idiot. Luongo would have given him six solid years (including this one where he might have helped them beat Boston) as a legit no.1 and then mentored whoever was coming up in the process to take over.instead he takes a flyer on someone unproven and paid more for the privilege.bernier and nonis won't be there in five years.Luongo will outlast both of them wherever he goes next.

How could Luongo help the Leafs beat Boston when he couldn't help the Canucks beat San Jose?

the problem with this is... the canucks team just simply sucks in front of him. Luongo actually played good that series with the sharks and i watched alot of those games kept them in the game and bailed them out on chances that should of went in. People have to understand that the team in front is the problem, not the goalies

Ya, I am little teed off at both Scrivens and Frtts going. If Fratts can bag 20+ and scrivs is a decent backup, leafs lose the trade, unless Bers can rally rip it up of course.
