Reimer is a rebound machine.

Bernier will pay off for the Leafs

Reimer is more proven then Bernier at this point ...both want to be a starter and both need new contracts.

Interesting deal....

Not sure how I feel about it right away. I love how Frattin plays, i've always been a fan of his and really do think he has more to offer than what he's shown. Bernier is an upgrade over Scrivens, but what happens to Reimer now? After a nice playoffs for him where he looked solid for the most part, he's now looking over his shoulder once again. I don't really want to see a goalie controversy in Toronto, however when you can strengthen a position like Goaltending it's always a good things, especially when you're not REALLY sure if your #1 is truly a #1.

Not sure how I feel about this.

Frattin has shown flashes of brilliance.
Bernier, from what I've seen (which isn't much) is better than Scrivens.
2nd Round Pick is just the cost of doing business

We slot someone into 3rd line wing, roll into the season with Bernier+Reimer combo and we're out of the Luongo talks for good! Wait, maybe this is a good deal...

Makes a lot of sense. Reimer is a #1 for sure, but if he ever got injured I don't have faith in Scrivens holding down the fort, Rynnas left over sea's too did he not? Now we have a capable backup with potential to be a star goaltender. Frattin is good, but may do better somewhere else.

Bishop got a 2nd rounder, this ones at least optional. It may seem like a lot but that old trade testament rings true, we got the best player out of the deal.

Somewhere in Toronto, Clarke MacArthur will be silently fist pumping, as Frattin going means he's more likely to get re-upped (IMO)

I say we bring in Ashton/D'Amigo/Colborne full time, depending on who works hardest for it.

The second rounder was not necessary for a goalie no more proven then Riemer. That said I do like Bernier. I just don't want a goalie contraversy after every loss. I prefer a clear number one and a back up. Might have to think of trading Riemer before we turn into Vancouver.

i think this is a prelude to another deal. I'm going to miss frattin, he's no superstar but I think a great 3rd line guy who can put up 20g and hits everything in sight. I don't see them going into next year with both guys, I think at the draft one of them goes.

Really steep price for Toronto and a terrific deal for the Kings. Frattin gives the Kings speed which they lack and a 2nd round pick in a deep draft, if it's next year, is high for a guy with very little NHL experience.

I thought their plan was to get a veteran goalie to help tutor Reimer. After what Reimer did to bring the entire province together this spring, it's a slap in his face. If I'm Reimer's agent, I'm asking for a trade today. Reimer will be a #1 and the Leafs will rue this day. Should have gone after a vet like Smith, Backstrom or even Hedberg or Theodore to help the kid along.

2nd line winger at best. I personally think he'll be in your top nine. He's a great kid by all means.
I'm just happy we may have an actual franchise goalie who isn't in his 30's
