ahahah whatever u say.....

not really what I say. History supports cup winners having great defense better than my words. But ok, you can go with what I'm saying too I guess.

Can anyone say Toskala 2.0? Nonis is an idiot. Luongo would have given him six solid years (including this one where he might have helped them beat Boston) as a legit no.1 and then mentored whoever was coming up in the process to take over.instead he takes a flyer on someone unproven and paid more for the privilege.bernier and nonis won't be there in five years.Luongo will outlast both of them wherever he goes next.

Dion is on the same level of Drew Doughty, Keith, Seabrook, or Chara? And our supporting cast is as good as those teams as well?

Yea I agree, thinking contradictory to that is laughable

Are you getting ready to write an essay of my hockey smarts? Good on you for trying to learn. Haaaa

All kidding aside I'd have to look at some rosters and think before I know today how many great or really good d men are. Out there. Why not just make your point instead of going round and round?

Haha, bitterness at it's best. Reimer could be our starter in 2 years, or Bernier could be our starter in 2 years. And if both play like #1 goaltenders then Nonis will have an excellent bargaining chip in one of them that he could turn into a needed asset. All he has to do is look at how Gillis handled having 2 starters and try to not handle it that way.

plain and simple dion isn;t part of the problem.. he's part of the solution.. weather he is here when the leafs take the take there next steps or not..... he makes the team better and has value weather he is traded or not.

Yep, we gave up fair value for a back-up with massive potential but limited experience. L.A. acquired some nice pieces, but nothing we can't replace.

You clearly didn't read what I wrote. You just want to blindly defend dion. I like dion a lot, but the leafs ask him to do more than he should. Not his fault.

Leafs fans and their blind loyalty drive me crazy. How about a little honest perspective.

Well I believe the 2nd rounder was too much. But we improved in goal, but we lost some 3rd line grit.

1) Finally

2) No Reimers days are not numbered because you don't know how the hell bernier will perform or take the load now

3) Instead of the leafs paying one goaltender over 5.5-6M+, they can divide the salary and playing time sharing the duties in net between reimer and bernier. Smart thing to do would be signing both for about 3-5 year deal or so. Very good tandem if you ask me, and i like this way so we have assurance and we can replicate a st. louis scenario.

4) The deal was "okay" but if we did this sooner, our 2nd rounder would NOT have had to been given up

Yup, a reasonable deal imo
