i dont see how gelinas or urbom start if we dont use a buy out, unless we can magically get a pick for tallinder or volchenkov (personally id like to see sal go, like what he did when he came back but now he has missed 2 steps since then it seems but its not going to happen)

but i do think lou feels that some young dmen are close and/or could be ready, id like to see gelinas over urbom but i wouldnt mind seeing urbom getting time up here

larsson needs to be in there regularly and getting mins in all situations (PP and PK) but if we dont use a buy out then im scared that he may not be in as much as he should, but less of a concern if we dont bring back zid (lou may want to bring him back )

greene-larsson
sal-fayne
volch-tallinder
harrold

We should just trade Volchenkov and keep part of his salary. To me we HAVE to drop at least two of Zid, Sal, Volch, Tallinder, and Harrold.

Don't like Zubrus on the top line. He plays a very chip and chase style and is at his best when doing so. With Kovy and Lokti, he'll be required to play a more skill based game and he usually looks pretty bad when he does that. The times they were together as a line this season Zubrus was a passenger on the line, like pretty much every other LWer we tried.

No man we don't want zubrus on the top line we need a dynamic lw like redalov
The best defence is a great offence that's what we need from our top line

What ever happened to Nick Palmieri? He worked magic with Kovy.

We'd still have just as many players to play with Kovy.

Not that i think Tedenby is the answer but anyone else find it ridiculous that Nick Palmeri was given all that time to play with kovy and teddy didn't even get a look close to like he did...Teddy was a first round pick you would think he'd get a chance as good as that bum did ya know?

What? Every single line chips and chase...our success comes off our forecheck. I'm not sure i really get your point unless its that you don't feel he and Kovy have chemistry which is fair enough. The bottom line is you need someone who is going to dig the puck out of the corners and do the dirty work on every line. Not sure putting a smaller skilled player there would really make the line more effective.

Tedenby 5'9 175, Nick Palmieri 6'3 220; there's your answer.

I like Teddy a lot and he deserves a shot, but there's no denying he gets easily knocked off the puck due to his size.

Palmieri was also more responsible in is own zone than Teddy. But I agree, why not try him out at this point?

Kovalchuk should kidnapp him and bring him to his cabin in Siberia for his rigorous summer training. Goes for all the young guys need to get them in as close to Kovy's conditioning as possible
