Not eaxactly a confidence/ego booster either

Nope. He played pretty well in the series against Boston. Guess they wanted another option.

the carle thing looks worse w/ the streit signing, but I'm not going to try to sway you there. i think most are coming around to the reality that there seems to be no plan or durable philosophy other than trying their best yr to yr.
- isaiah520

curious what teams, in your opinion, have "a plan or durable philosophy" and how you'd describe it

Can someone give me a comparable for a flyers package that would equal toronto's.
- huks99

Matt read alone is better than frattin and our 2nd is higher. b/u goalies are not a big deal to acquire unless you have a leighton fixation.

I do find it odd to trade for another young high upside goalie with limited experience....when you already have one

I hear you. Very curious move. Perhaps they have another trade in the hopper.

I'm disappointed I wanted Bernier. You just know now that we passed on making a deal he's going to turn into a stud. They better pray Mason can be the real deal. So tired of this teams terrible track record with goalies

I'm glad the Flyers didn't get too involved. It would have probably taken Read and 2014 2nd rounder. I was hoping they could scoop him up for maybe 2 second rounders. Wishful thinking

I thought the Devils were going to swoop in and land Bernier. Would have made a ton of sense for them to do so.

Our second rounder I believe would be higher then the Leafs. Matt is a better player then both those guys.

As already stated there are enough options out there....I wanted Bernier but I didnt happen so I will just sit back and speculate who else they could bring in....Only the way this really hurts if they bring bryz back

I would like to keep Read. I give Mason a shot, and sign a veteran backup on the cheap.

I wanna know why Scrivens is going back to LA.

Why the hell would they want him? Isn't he a young and promising goalie too? Obviously not to Bernier's caliber but still....seems like a tad bit of a sideways move....

They have Kinkaid. Have heard a mixed bag on him. Some view him as a legit prospect, others as a backup type.
