refs miss calls and a "borderline" hit isn't getting called a major. for you or the Bruins.
- FightThePower

It was a borderline hit but it drew more focus because of so many non-calls on the Bruins. Everyone expected the Bs to be more physical - that is their style and many of us in Chicago admire and envy that aspect - but most of the after the whistle stuff is simply goonery. The Hawks actually looked intimidated in game 3 but have shown it just isn't happening since so let it go and play your game between the whistles - Chara and Lucic in particular.

Contrast that to 11 when much of the cheap garbage was the Nucks and the Bs were not only not backing down but pushing back. Hawks are playing their style - between the whistles and in ways almost too disciplined. They don't respond to the shots so why keep at it?

Sharp came out after the game and said Boychuck is clean. He deserved the benefit of the doubt if so and no suspension was appropriate.

you're not that smart so don't be smarmy about it.

i'd say Torres' history of trying to maim other players factored in.

- FightThePower

Haha - Kudos for the layup slam. Figured something a bit more clever but whatever.

So you think the league should suspend any guy for legal hits just because he has a history? THAT'S smart.

I'm much too busy at my dumb-guy job to sit here & argue with you. You win, fella.

ok. i'll digress from the pissing contest but why does everyone think they need to be clever?

but for a Torres? and on a hit that you can say 1, elbow to the head and 2, left his feet. yes.

WOW! Where the violent backlash from the Chicago "fans"? I said basically the same last week and I got called everything in the book.
- glove_was_stuck

You said much more than that. The backlash was deserved.

Go ahead, try to explain that as a "hockey play", Shaw still hasn't touched the puck on that play. The very fact that there's a difference between the "playoff hockey" and regular season hockey is the reason this sport will never be taken much more seriously than the WWE. Playoffs should have nothing to do with it. Only problem is the refs were too chickensh!t to give McQuaid the 5/10/game that he deserved because they were too afraid to make the right call in game 5 of the finals for fear of the outcry from cement head meatballs like you.

dude, poop happens both ways, get over it. In addition you need to lay off the personal name calling crap, we are happy to discuss hockey here but the personal insults have no place.

Bandwagon jumping fools.

Been a fan since May, and you're in here talking trash.

Beat it, noob.

If you carry some sort of senior fan alumni badge then you must be ashamed of the way your current roster and FO carry themselves. A complete insult to the Linden, Smyl, Naslund legacy. Torts may just make it worse - we will see.

Also, there are a few loons but most of us pointing out the non calls favoring the Bruins UNLIKE the majority of NUCK NATION in 11 aren't calling it a vast conspiracy against our team.

This series is likely going 7. Officiating has been pretty bad but no worse than the other series - maybe less so than Detroit. So far, the officiating hasn't determined the outcome of a game. Let's hope it stays that way.

i like your first paragraph.
but i think the non calls or bad calls really haven't favored the bruins. i saw a missed too many men for the hawks and a clear trip on a bruin in the corner. so what though? this happens.

Oh Please, you going to defend the people on here who have nothing to say, but phuck this or phuck that? Go ahead.

And don't think for a second that I carry some sort of personal connection to my team. Do I like the diving and BS, No. Have I ever condoned it or backed it up, never.

I'm not on here discussing the whining or conspiracy theorists, simply trying to slow down the folks who come here all hopped up on the SC final talking poop, and then come Sept you won't hear boo from them, as they will be on the bandwagon for the NY Yankees or whatever team is making a run at the PO's.

Oh, so that badge is actually for regulating the conduct of and determining the actual seniority level of other fans.

Nice. Sounds more involved than knots.

Hey, man, you wanna defend those on here that spew garbage, feel free. I'm happy to go a couple rounds with the spirited defender of Hawks nation.

And , if you look, I was just a quick to call out the stupid comments by the old timer as well. You wanna join the group, be my guest.

And if you think calling out noobs for dumb bandwagon fan comments in a forum, is "more involved than a knot," I can s l o w d o w n, for you.

Totally wasn't tying to be clever and never even felt that Boychuk's hit deserved anything (by my own standards). Was only pointing out that extremely similar hits have drastically different results.

By the way, if you watch Shanahan's explanation, he actually points out that Torres neither leaps nor uses his elbow on the hit.
