Which defensemen would that be?

The only way they shut that line down was Boychuck's dirty check.

Will that be the game plan the rest of this series? Hope not. Bruins should have more class than that. However, the almost constant dirty play after the whistle by Chara, S, F, M, and B makes them look like Canucks. Boychuck has been particularly dirty. That particular play certainly deserved a double minor if not a suspension. No call at all.

Officials have looked intimidated in this series by the Bruins. Penalties in last night's game should have 9-10 Bs to 3-4 Hs. They missed a trip with 15 seconds left? How about calling McQuaid for 2 mins on a deliberate attempt to injure that should have been 5 and a game m?

The league disagrees, regardless, it looked bad. Whatever, it goes both ways, most fans only notice the bad things that happen to their team. I'm saying it now, if Chicago, doesn't win tonight, they won't win Wednesday. B's will figure out the their issues. Bergy out is big. I got very tired of watching Krejki losing face off after face off.

wow. playoff hockey is new to you eh?
- Fountain-San

Go ahead, try to explain that as a "hockey play", Shaw still hasn't touched the puck on that play. The very fact that there's a difference between the "playoff hockey" and regular season hockey is the reason this sport will never be taken much more seriously than the WWE. Playoffs should have nothing to do with it. Only problem is the refs were too chickensh!t to give McQuaid the 5/10/game that he deserved because they were too afraid to make the right call in game 5 of the finals for fear of the outcry from cement head meatballs like you.

Figuring it out, and doing something about it...two different things.

If not for an inexcusably quick whistle in game 2, this series is already over.

please dude. quit crying about the refs. calls get missed all the time both ways. you live with and move on.

and last i checked hockey was doing better in the states then ever before. looking at the TV ratings for this Final i'd say it's being taken very seriously.

(frank)ing refs!!

cry cry cry.

it's been a great series. really has. the level of crybabiness from hawks fans is disappointing though. no better than Nuck fans in that category. surprising actually.

Please do not compare the Hawks with the Nucks in any way!

I am sorry but how do you miss a blatant trip like that...

i don't know, it's only happened a hundred times this postseason. on a level of outrage, get back to me when you log your first disallowed goal... we are sitting on 4.

i am not disputing any one on its own... i understand the whistle there. I would have more of a grievance on shaw interference and saad roughing calls if we were looking at specific goals disallowed. i just expected the unexpected... expect inconsistency (kane hooking call in game 4)... and expect the Hawks to overcome it like they have done all year.

my only thing is you tend to make it look like your the ones being really (frank)ed over. it's been just as inconsistent for the bruins as well.

i am saying those disallowed goals were horrible calls during DET series. i also realize Hawks have gotten away with missed calls as well. consistently inconsistent.

But that's the only way Chara knows how to play.. He is starting to get killed by the hawks speed.

He's resorting to thuggery, but he doesn't need that as he is a very highly skilled defenceman. One of the best. Intimidation just doesn't work on the Hawks...

He's an over rated cheap shot artist.. needs to be traded to Vancouver where he'd fit in great.

Boychuk hit didn't deserve a suspension but I thought it deserved a 2 minute cross-checking penalty only because it was from behind. Anyways tyler seguin sure gets away from any criticism from bruins fans. He's facing the 3rd and 4th d-man and he can't produce? Funny everyone points to Kadri having success because he played versus the 2nd pairing d. 1 goal in the playoffs. 32 points in the regular season(while playing with bergeron and marchand.) And he had 4 empty net goals so really he only scored 12 goals. I would be worried about him if I was a Bruins fan. Kessel actually produces in the playoffs too. That trade just keeps looking better for the Leafs. Where's hamilton? Seguin plays on a terrific team. Kessel would have done better on this team. You guys compare kessel and seguins first 3 years in the NHL...kessel has more points, not by much. But Seguin was a 2nd overall pick while Kessel was a 5th. I would think the 2nd overall pick sure produce more especially considering he plays with way better linemates. The Rask for Raycroft trade is what kills.
- Smurfs-A-Joke

I dont think theres any rush for Seguin. He's playing on a stacked team. Kessel came into Toronto as THE GUY, Seguin got drafted to an already loaded team. So they dont need him to be pressured to produce.

Now, having said that, it is the stanley cup and he is one of if not the most skilled guy on the Bruins but he's still super young and if i was a Bruins fan i wouldnt be worried about him because he's got a long career ahead of him and he'll only get better.

I dont want to say that Kessel has "topped out" his potential because we havent seen enough of him in the playoffs but i also wouldnt be extremely thrilled about the possibility of him becoming an excellent defensive forward or learning to check or anything like that. I dont mind his game, everybody needs pure scorers and he's one of the best but thats about all he does.
