Really pissing me off how much ice Chara and Jagr are getting. Jags is (frank)ing useless.
Julien NEEDS to pair Chara and Boychuk together - TylerSeguin19
He did that last night.

That's what I mean. His ice time needs to be cut down. There are times where it seems like he's been out there for 5 mins straight. We have other defencemen that can shut down Bickell-Toews-Kane - TylerSeguin19
Which defensemen would that be?
The only way they shut that line down was Boychuck's dirty check.
Will that be the game plan the rest of this series? Hope not. Bruins should have more class than that. However, the almost constant dirty play after the whistle by Chara, S, F, M, and B makes them look like Canucks. Boychuck has been particularly dirty. That particular play certainly deserved a double minor if not a suspension. No call at all.
Officials have looked intimidated in this series by the Bruins. Penalties in last night's game should have 9-10 Bs to 3-4 Hs. They missed a trip with 15 seconds left? How about calling McQuaid for 2 mins on a deliberate attempt to injure that should have been 5 and a game m? |

Jagr really looks like he has finally lost a step, just when Boston really needs him. Do the Bruins miss Thomas Kaberle on the backend maybe? |

...hawks win but still whining about refs? How about the trip on Lucic on the give and go with about 4 minutes left in game? High stick to Lucic? They let poop go on both sides....
Tis reminds me of the whining Canuck fans did during 2011 final...they were up 2-0 in the series and moaning all the time...

I'm sorry, but that is a pretty dumb reason for not suspending a player. The league had no trouble suspending Pronger during the playoffs, on multiple occasions. - TheRollingPuck
That's because Pronger is a dirty POS. He deserves way more than he ever gets. |

Wow.. Call it what you want.. but the B's are the kings of after the whistle BS. Not a fan of the after the whistle wack-em game. And you are right about the calls. Hit/miss as to what gets called. Bergeron is a world class player. Hope he is all right. Same said for Toews. As hockey fans, this series is not the name without those two playing. This is a classic heavy weight title fight. Two proud teams throwing hay makers. Here is to a great finish...... |

Funny. I was thinking the Bruins have been reminding of the Canucks with their after the whistle stick work and continuous targeting of Toew's head. The play that hurt him was probably the elbow from Lucic to the head on the shift after the Boychuck hit. Both went without a whistle.
They are missing calls on both sides but it is weighted heavily towards the Bruins.
Maybe a bonus they are not being called considering the Hawks power play. |

Stfu the hit wasn't dirty. Boychuk should be the guy shutting them down, and he can. He has the speed and physicality. That's why Chara and Boychuk should be a consistent pair. Chara is being used way to much and its unnecessary.
I can't stand how every big hit is deemed to be dirty these days. Don't like the physicality, go watch a different sport. |

He's absolutely useless out there, and Claude continues to play him. It's so frustrating to watch. If Bergy is healthy, Seguin NEEDS to be back with Bergy and Marchand. It was their best line all season, and ever since Jags was acquired, Seguin's icetime has been diminished and it looks to everyone like he's in a slump. What does Julien do to help him bust out of the slump? (frank) all. |

Seguin's icetime and rhythm with familiar linemates may not be what he's accustomed to, but that doesn't change the fact that he's STILL had plenty of chances, good looks, tons of shots, and just hasn't finished. Can't find the back of the net. He needs to score if put back on the Bergeron line to be effective, like actually score goals, not just doin the lilttle things, or else he's no better than Jagr. It looks like he's in a slump cuz he is. |

This playoff run is eerily similar to 2011 and the Bruins were down 3-2 to Vancouver at this same point. Its not over.

Big difference, Vancouver was a one line team that couldn't score. Hawks are just as deep as Boston , maybe a little deeper , If Bergeron can't go the Bruins are done. |

The difference is the Hawks punch back, unlike Sedin. The trend for the last two really good Hawk teams, is that everyone can skate, and when they play tough as hell like the last two games, the speed strength combo wears teams down by the end of series |

The hit that really deserves a suspension is the one no one is talking about...McQuaid's attempted decapitation of Shaw.
If that blatant, malicious attempt to injure isn't worthy of 5/10/game and an in person hearing with Shanny, nothing is. Should be done for the series at a minimum.

Except those Canuck have never won before.
Except thise Canucks had a terrible head coach.
Except those Canucks got by with gimmick diving and power play conversions.
This Hawks team is none of that. |

From the Department of Can't Have It Both Ways:
"My bet: Despite the hit -- which I’m still on the fence about, finding it to be ‘borderline suspendable at best’ to be honest -- there’s just no way that the league suspends a defensemen as important as Johnny Boychuk for an elimination game in Boston. It just doesn’t really happen like that, really."
But the trip on Krug n the last 15 seconds should have been called?
Boychuk didn't even get two for a head shot.
It had little, if anything to do with the outcome of the game either way. The better team won Games 2 and 3. The better team has won Games 4 and 5. The B's need to find some answers. Maybe they will. - John Jaeckel
Doesn't look like a head shot in the replays - a bit of an arms on impact and shove follow through that the league and players have always seemed to feel is a legit bodycheck.

Piss and moan about hits and missed calls all you want. The B's are down 3-2 and Bergeron is most likely done, Chara looks tired, Seidenberg does not look good either. Their backs are against the wall and that's when this team repsonds the best. You will see a different and better version of Bruins than what they've displayed in the last 2. |
