What about Luongo for Bishop, Connolly and 1st? - Scooby_Doo
Wake up you are dreaming, now go home. |

I still think a Luongo for Vinny trade straight up is best option for everybody - B_A_Baracus
Absolutely - Except for the existence of the salary cap of course. Van needs to shed salary in a bad way - not take more on. They couldn't afford Vinny unless they got rid of Edler or Kesler

If he gets bought out. Lou is a free agent right ?
So if a team thinks they can't sign him in the open market then
try to deal for him. Your likely right tho that he gets bought out.
If he gets bought out is there any chance Gillis doesn't get fired. - knmdlm
Nope, the Canucks owner already stated that he will not sign a buyout cheque for Lou... So as bad as the rest of the hockey world wants him to be, you'd probably see Schneider traded first.. |

No way Schneids is traded. Lu doesn't want to stay in Vancouver and can you really see anything changing when Torts is named head coach?
Ownership may have to buy him out. Just because they've stated otherwise publicly doesn't mean they wouldn't consider it. If ownership came out and said that the end result will be a buyout if they can't find a decent trading partner they're ability to move him would be destroyed. |

Lu for Malone, and kucharov/koekkoek. Tampa dumps a bad contract while picking up a bad one but improving their team drastically. Lindback could probably be dumped for a pick |

I know the weed in Van is good, but WTF are you thinking? I know northerners think you're smarter then us in the South, but don't insult us further by dogs breakfast offers like that. |

Do you have any idea how many times I hear "you do know anything about hockey because I live here"? The Lightning and there fans are constantly dogged by people like that and this numb nut is right up there with them. |

I am an antagonistic a$$hole that will defend his team, geographical location and opinion to (frank)ing hill, if there where any hills in Tampa Bay Area. As it stands there are three mountains in central Florida. Big Thunder Mountain, Space Mountain and Splash Mountain. Pick one of those and I'll defend! |

Space mountain seems like the most realistic fit. |

So be it! Not only will I defend Space Mountain, but all of this Magic Kingdom. From the Deep jungle river to the mystical town of mice and ducks, from the enchanted castle to Main Street, from the railroad at Big Thunder Mountain to the citadel of the Beast! I will defend thy kingdom from these northern oppressors! |

Would you do
Lu, Higgins and a 3rd for Malone and Purcell? You move Lindback somewhere for a 2nd/3rd. This frees up around 3.2mil for the Lightning |

I don't disagree, but is lightning ownership willing to do so? My offer drastically improves you in net. And subtracts a bit on offense where the lightning have abundance. |

It does NOTHING in the long run and that's how Yzerman thinks. That mentality got Philly in the hole they're in now. |

Maybe. But Marty STL isn't gonna be around for much longer and the day he retires u take a huge step back. If yzerman indeeds thinks the way u state he does then he is a fool not to deal Marty stl. |
