don't agree. I don't think any goalie pushes the oiler team in 2013 to the playoffs.

forgetting for a minute that our defence is terrible, our core was literally 18, 19, 21, 21 and 22. two of them rookies. seems like people forget this. they just weren't ready to carry us to the next level yet, regardless of goalie. and dubs wasn't the problem. anyone who spouted off at the oilers greatness coming into this past season really didn't know much about the oilers imo. it was just a sexy pick for the media

the defensive west comment would be valid in a lot of instances, but not for the oilers.

add some size, grit and a top 4 defender to the team for next season. in that case dub's performance from last year woulda absolutely been enough to get us in.

I cant see how is value could possibly be higher than yaks at the moment. the guy just had a bad year. preceded by another one. defence statistically one of your worst.

but he could absolutely get back to 2 years ago. certainly possible with the skill set and size he has.
