Yes we are in that bad of a position. So we won a couple of meaningless games against top teams that were already going the post season, big deal. We didn't dominate them or anything (that Boston game was all Vanek) Our NHL depth is bad enough that Ott is playing top 6 minutes. It actually sucks that we weren't a bottom feeder team this year. At least that way when we embarrassingly miss the playoffs we get that franchise player we desperately need.

And I seriously doubt we are getting 2 top 10 picks. If anything it sounds like Darcy wants to move down from 16...

u read a little too much into that.

theyre a decent team for sure. not great, but decent. losing pominville, vanek and miller makes u even worse but if myers gets back to form and a few other things go well, next season could go fairly well.

I like the future of this team. A lot of good prospects and a variety of different playing styles. But as for right now, I think we are pretty bad. I hope they realize that too and don't try some half ass rebuild. I don't want to wake up on July 5th to find out we signed Ron Hainsey to a five year deal.

We're not drafting both Nichushkin and Monahan. Darcy has already squashed any chance of us moving up far enough to get both of them. Like I said before, it sounds like his big move for the draft is moving down from 16 for more picks.

Yeah but that's not happening because Calgary is not moving the 6th pick unless it's in a package to move up, not down.

They are very confident Monahan will be there at #6 & i'll tell u right now, that's who they are targeting.

Again they like Lindholm as well but they feel Monahan can step in next season & play while Lindholm is staying at least another season back home.
