(frank)ing Steinley....he will never live that one down.... - Iggysbff
Iggy, I just read an Edmonton Journal article....what the heck is Staples smoking? From the Story:
"The only way it makes sense for the Oilers to move the pick is to get a useful Top 4 defenceman or Top 6 forward in return.
Who might that defenceman be on the Leafs?
The Leafs have four d-men in that category right now, their top four minute munchers per game Dion Phaneuf, Michael Kostka, Carl Gunnarsson, and Jake Gardiner."
Kostka? Did he simply look at the ATOI and make an assumption? |

I thought the same way as well when I read it...then I fantasized that the Oilers went for it. |

These guys just make poop up. Probably didn't even watch more than a game or two of the Leafs last year. No offense but the only guy I'd move the 7th for from Toronto os Gardiner, but I don't think he fits our need. |

You already have one of those...but imagine the two trying to outdo each other each game or shift for that matter. Back checking required for all forwards. |

I call shenanigans!!! Why would we waste our #1 pick on a goalie in the same class as Reimer.
#1 Center!! how many years have we been waiting. You could dust an article off from 2008 and you would think it was just written. Take advantage of the teams that can't afford their RFA's. Take a flyer on Lecavalier if he is bought out.
However if this "rumoured" transaction is a larger one including a Kopitar or Richards.
Then Git R Done! |

What I heard was 2012 was top heavy with a huge drop off, while 2013 goes deep. I think Rielly was/is a better prospect than Darnell Nurse for example. Outside of Jones, i don't think there is a d-man in 2013 that I'd take over Rielly that's going in the first round. |

Reilly was the best Defenceman in his Draft! He jumped Murray in rankings almost immidiately after the draft! Only reason he was not a top 3 pick was because of his knee injury |

The Monster. He had upside, but was killed by a combination of Mike Komisarek, Ron Wilson, Jonas Frogren, Brett Lebda among other future hall of famers.
No one in the right mind would pick Raycroft. I was actually at the game in San Jose where he fell asleep while being the back-up - sitting about 15 feet away.
Unbelievable.
