Leafs first round pick is not coveted by LA, this is a cup contending team with young players and a force for years to come. They want players ready to come up or roster players.
On the flip side the optics of the Leafs moving yet again another 1st round draft pick would be awful. They are better off moving a top prospect + Scrivens |

they are better off either using that package and our 1st to move up in the draft, or to get a center who can play for us now |

I think they are better off not moving anything and see what Reimer can do in a full year. If you don't like that you can frig off. |

for a year or 2, maybe, especially if that buys us the opportunity to move up in the draft and develop a possible #1C, if he wants longer, no thanks |

I wouldn't mind a tougher type player like him. But I'd rather they go for a centre with skill before moving a step down. Step down not being a bad thing, but a different direction. |

Agreed. There's definitely a lot of opportunity for us to improve in the short term coming up. That will then give a chance for Kadri, Colborne etc to improve and try and claim the spots for themselves |

I suspect Kawasaki will be sent down when Reyes is back...its too bad, he has been a lot of fun to watch, hes average but very entertaining - senstroll
Just heard on Sportsnet that Kawasaki might not get sent down. |

Either Juan Perez gets put on waivers or the Jays could option a pitcher to Buffalo. Wagner and a couple of others have options left. |

Bernier was beat out by a guy who had one of the best seasons in nhl history/ all those guys you listed are miles ahead of gunnerson. Like, way better. Did you watch any playoffs? Andrew Ference is not as good as Gunnerson? What? - Timmy_Bee
Bernier was beat out by a guy...period. So saying he'll end up as anything is presumptuous on your part. You got a crystal ball in your pocket? All I know is Reimer HAS DONE IT ALREADY.
Needless to say I disagree with you about those guys I mentioned. Oduya has been terrible, IMO. The other guys have been solid...but no better than a healthy Gunnar.
Ference is awful. Period. |

Wonder what happened to Romero? Just a complete 180 from him from his first 2 or 3 years. |
