Upgrade the D & possibly another scoring winger
All we hear is management doesn't have enough confidence in him, he's a former rookie of the year vs Bernier who hasn't done anything yet - puckhead17
I think the change of teams and help from a new goalie coach really gave Mason the confidence boost he needed...He looked (frank)ing solid in all the games he started... |

Flyers buy out Mr. Universe and use the offer sheet...I can see the Flyers using a sheet, they're Richards like that - Zezel
It will never get to that, that's why the kings have this kid on a blanket in the front lawn.
AUCTION. Because an offer sheet screws them |

I like Reimer and don't even know why the Leafs are looking to deal assets for Bernier when they could be used to upgrade other more pressing areas... - Flyfreaky
reimer should be given a support/mentor type goalie, not someone else who is looking to take the #1. a vet back up would be nice, just to keep him calm and be able to step in for 15-20 games next year. youre right, the assets they could be dealing to get bernier, could be used to get something else they need. unless it is a bigger deal coming our way other then just bernier, i don't see how this deal would make any sense. |

The Kings will trade him way before anyone can offer him a sheet... |

Agreed
The quickness & glove & positioning & puck movement. An element we haven't had.
The goalie coach should have as much say as he had a lot to do with this. |

Yeah I think you guys are right, Bernier's too hot a commodity for LA not to get a deal before it gets to the point of an offer sheet
Wonder what Philly would ante up for him |

I think that playing behind a solid stay at home guy like Streit will do wonders for his confidence... |

and its not like la has any bad contracts they need to get rid of. it would make sense if we were going to be able to take on a bad contract since we have the cap space, but that isn't the case. though a guy i would want from la is stoll, would be good for our 3rd line |

We have other pieces to fill, so I wonder how much more Than Matt Read they are offering? |

What do they have that LA need? I don't see much of a deal as anything LA would want, Philly wouldn't give for Bernier. |

Still has enough talent for a top 6 role with the right wingers |

he does but hes getting older. give him less responsibility, give him pk and some time on the 2nd pp unit and it should be fine |

Yes nabby came to mind first but those are 2 very good choices as well, (Ellis may be a little too good for a backup) |

Philly could gut their first round picks for the next couple of years, that's always good
Taking firsts from Philly would be interesting, will they be back to a top team with Bernier or not? I was shocked they missed the dance this year. What they really need is Pronger's wife to whine at him until he overcomes his brain damage just to get away from her |
