With the 1st overall, Vancouver takes Seth Jones.

It`s probably nowhere near a feasible trade, and likely Vancouver would need to add either another 1st or another one of our D prospects like Corrado but it would solve two issues the Avalanche have which is the need for a solid first pairing D and better goaltending. Kesler and Duchene are a wash and Edler, Jensen, Tanev (possibly Corrado) and two firsts might have the Avs willing to deal the 1st overall and Landskog. The benefits for Vancouver are two-fold, one, we replace Edler with Jones, and get a replacement for the Twins in 2 years when they`re ready to go back to Sweden just as Duchene and Landskog are in their primes.

i wouldn't want us to get bernier. we need to show confidence in reimer that he can get the job done again, not get someone who is looking over his shoulder and trying to take the #1 job away from him. Scrivens knew he was the back up, so did reimer. he only started because reimer didn't have a long training camp and scrivens was playing in the AHL. once reimer was ready it was his job and scrivens stuck with being a back up.

if i could relate it to another sport, think of the new york jets, having sanchez, and then signing tebow. sanchez played completely terrible because he was over thinking to much cause if he wasn't playing good, tebow was going to take his job. i don't want reimer to have to over think even simple shots, cause thats when we see a lot of weak goals.

I have no problem handing the reigns to mason, I just don't want the $56 million head case here anymore. Ridiculous that keeping him hinges on them getting another body in here. Mason can finish better than 35th in save % and we are still better off

I like Mason as well...Give the kid a shot for a year and bring in a nice vet back-up...Use the assets to upgrade the defense...

i dont know how reimer would do. i think with the way st croix has been developing him then he should be fine. reimer does have a good head on his shoulders so a little competition shouldn't hurt. might be a little shaky to start, but once he settles in we should see the same reimer we did this year

All we hear is management doesn't have enough confidence in him, he's a former rookie of the year vs Bernier who hasn't done anything yet
