Id like to hold onto MDZ for one year to see how he does under AV... however, I could see Moore stepping into the PP QB role very smoothly. - aecliptic
yeah, I hear ya, but he is a trade chip too. Very good salary, and he still has a lot of perceived potential.
Gotta give to get

Oh absolutely, Ive been one of the people here who is not against trading DZ, but it would be nice to see what he does with AV, if he has a really good year, he could become a trade chip at the deadline and get us more out of it... although this years draft looks pretty good.
I just hope if we do land a 1st round pick that we stop drafting HS kids and we finally draft an NHL/AHL ready guy like Miller. |

Ok he played on bad teams just saying he has proven himself in playoffs unlike Nash. Although I like Nash there seems to be players that are clutch and he seems to be one. Sort of reminds of Breire. The year Flyers played Habs in ECF it was like they took turns scoring big goals. |

Nash hasnt exactly been put in ideal situations to succeed. I think we will see what hes got under AV. |

What about Mike Cammillari from Calgary? He only has 1 year left 7 mill cap hit..what would we have to give up to get him and one of their first rd picks? |

First we would have to buy out Richards... secondly CGY would have to take a huge chunk of his contract back... and thirdly, no thanks not the kind of player we need. |

Maybe a wideman & glencross for DZ, Boyle and a pick or prospect?
I know wideman makes lots of money but he has a very good shot. Calgary I'm sure wouldn't mind shedding his salary |

He is a good point man tho. I know his contract is awful. Just throwing it out there |

He actully gets points from back there, probably like 45-50 pt ave. He isn't terrible but the contract is bad news
Wonder what they'd want for glencross |

I think DZ could put up 45 points under AV... hell I think McDonagh and Moore could both put up 35-40 points with AV too.
We have no need for Wideman with AV as coach. |

Well I was figuring the forward part Is where we mAke out.
Glencross is the kind of guy they need so hopefully he is the target in this rumor |

Like I said before I like Glencross and would love to have him, but we would have to give up a LW and probably DZ.
Which probably isnt a bad deal, but I would like to see what DZ can do under AV. |
|
|
|
and he is small, I don't see it, but I just keep seeing his name thrown everywhere
I definitely see Calgary as a team that would probably covet Del Zotto
I could forsee a deal with Glencross and MDZ as the centerpieces
I really hope the Blackhawks finish this season out tomorrow and we get down to full scale off-season business here - jimbro83
As you know, I am a big MDZ fan, so I have no interest in this type of deal |

I would rather hold onto DZ. I think in a more offensive system which he will be in now, he will flourish. Also I still think he can be the PP QB, the PP was dreadful system wise, no movement, too many guys behind the net therefore no one in front of it screening the goalie. A new PP system will help DZ as well. I would just look for a guy with a huge shot that DZ can try to set up so they can blast it at the net. |

one thing Vigneault has already stated is that he believes the key to a successful powerplay is having a balance of shots on it, 3 lefty and 2 righty, or 2 lefty and 3 righty.
One of the biggest problems all season long is that the Rangers don't have any decent right handed shots and it simply has to be addressed, because Dan Girardi, although I love him, can't be the right handed answer on this team.
Michael Del Zotto, Ryan McDonagh, John Moore, Marc Staal and soon to come, Brady Skjei, all lefty shooters.
This is another reason why I believe Michael Del Zotto will be looked at as a trade chip. |

Sami salo. Booming RH shot. Moderate success with AV in Vancouver. Maybe get him cheaply |
