Ohhhh man if you only saw Duchene play last season he is a flat out star and I would take him over Couture and Seguin.

He trained with Crosby over the offseason and when Crosby told Duchene to shorten his stick and change his skating stride my god was he amazing. Even with the awful season the Avs had Duchene grew into a dominant 1st line center.

Duchene is an amazing player. He'd look good on Sid's wing

43 points in 47 games (26th overall 8th best in the west) with an awful Avs team in Sacco's incompetent offensive system.

Since the day Sakic left I have never seen a player play as well as Duchene did. He flat out dominated like only a Superstar in this league can and he bleeds burgundy and blue.

You're not kidding. He's not a guy that gets a ton of attention but he can really do some great stuff. I won't soon forget this one

Ohhhhh I swear I didn't see that you already posted it. But it's a sick, sick goal. That's obviously why we both thought of it and put it on.

You win sir!

It was great showmanship by both Duchene and Malkin that game. Duchene's goal was the better of the two but Malkin came right back with a gem of his own later on.

Duchene is probably the most untradable player on the avs lmao. Also he is awful at wing.

Although Drouin would look great on Crosby's wing, just sayin......

Hell, for a small bit of time Andy Hilbert looked great on Crosby's wing haha.

I bet he wouldn't be awful with Sid. Drouin seems to be a very good stick handler and has high hockey IQ. I'd take him and MacKinnon as Sid's wings You have a real good player in Duchene. Landeskog coming right after. If you make the right moves, I can see Colorado being real good in 2-3 years.

They tried him on the wing with stastny but it never worked out.

We already did the best thing we could have done by getting rid of Sacco. Our defense needs a rework but I agree that in 2-3 years we can fill our holes and be a serious threat for the cup.

He is an amazing player, I think his asking price would be too rich for Avs blood however, especially considering what we would have to give up.

Chiarelli took Burke to school on that trade. Kessel is a great player, but Burke gave up 2 cornerstone players for a player that publicly wanted out of Boston.

Did he really? Seguin is a third line winger and Hamilton is a healthy scratch right now.

With Seth jones, the D will be getting a nice addition. Plus a stastny trade could help a lot. I always though the Avs should make a little deal involving stastny to Anaheim for Ryan

I'm a homer when it comes to Stastny. He played college hockey for my alma mater. That said, you ain't getting Ryan for Stastny one for one. I'm not sure why Anaheim would want him, I still think he can rebound in some fashion, but ...

I still take Jones if I'm Colorado. They need him more than MacKinnon or Druoin or whoever else.

If the avs keep the #1 overall pick they aren't taking Jones.

Stastny will be traded and I think a deal of Stastny, Barrie/elliot, 3rd could get Ryan which would be great.

Yeah but its hard not to take offense with the #1 overall pick, its pretty fool proof. Especially if they see a Dman they really like who could slip to the second round they could go that route and trade both stastny and O'reilly to fill other holes throughout the lineup.

Its weird, there are almost more Star Dmen drafted in the 2nd round than the 1st.

It will be interesting for sure, especially if the Avs trade down and take Barkov

Ducks can use a center with koivu getting older and possibly not being there. And they have no big stud defender, they need jones on that back end

It's hard to say that the Bruins won that trade though. Kessel is performing exactly as advertised. Seguin was supposed to be a top line center and so far he hasn't been. When is he going to make that step. His main competition in Hall is starting to perform as was predicted. Seguin hasn't.

Hamilton is still a crapshoot though.

This board is about the Ducks now June 30th, please! Re-sign Cooke/Murray/Dupuis/Iginla and trade Letang for 2 firsts and a prospect

It still baffles me they matched that o'reilly offer. He is a good player but not worth as much as that contract plus they could of had another high end first rouser and be sitting really pretty for the future especially with the young talent already there.

Yeah but it is all about the Avs telling Cal to go Eff themselves and they cant pull that crap.

Although the #6 overall and their 2nd would have been nice.
