I'm sorry, the only thing I could think of while your describing where all the players live is "stalker".
- youarewrong

If you live in the neighborhood, everyone talks about who they see at Paws (Hartnell plays with the cats, the Coburns are big supporters) and where they get their hair done. (Cliff Lee got his hair done at Oggi until he started losing last year, then had to keep switching places to try to change his luck. smh Hartnell went to Red Red Red, not surprisingly, until they closed, surprisingly) And seeing people with their pets, or out to dinner, or whatever. It isn't odd in CC or in Voorhees. They're part of our local color.

Just being "real". Not a fan of glossing over the facts because people are sad. Besides, not like he is reading my post and crying about it.
- youarewrong

I think the discussion of Danny is a refreshing change to discussing something that has actually happened and responding to it rather than catastrophising about every cockamamie rumor out there.

I knew the Coburns were big supoprters of PAWS. I still crack up imagining Coburn covered with the small, yappy, toy dogs his wife keeps.
Good to know about Hartnell. That he's not allergic to cats. Although we probably should have known that already just from his reputation...

I think he and Lisa had two cats? Maybe she got them in the divorce settlement.

JVR lived in the Rittenhouse area, too. Mimi used to see him in the 16th and Walnut Starbucks a lot. And Max lives in Pat Burrell's apt in the Lanesborough (because Pat left when it was unsellable in the down market so rented it out--it's a very odd layout, kind of only a multimillionaire bachelor pad kind of place).
- bodiva88

LOL @ Burrell having an unsellable bachelor pad.

Something tells me he's the kind of guy that doesn't regret having that place one bit.

Yep, never tried that one but Young's Double Chocolate is quite tasty. It's a stout. But you'd never know it...

I had one called America's Best Pumpkin Beer or something of that nature which I loved but can't find it again. The others I have tried have been just ok...

Yup, and dont forget Drinkers in Olde City. A lot of players used to go there after home games... not sure if they still do.

Good bye Danny, don't let the door hit you in the .....

In all seriousness, he'll be missed. Frankly it depresses me a bit. I hope he comes back at some point.

I'm guessing a little sarcasm here, but would you mind elaborating on this? I think we're of a similar mindset here, but didn't want to assume. I really am curious.

Briere's so small that he's more or less forced to rely on stick work to get any space in the offensive zone... hence all the o-zone/PP-killing penalties.

Whereas, Hartnell really has no excuse for a lot of the stuff he gets caught doing.

You dont see Matt Read taking penalities like that.

This is a good read.

Nice to see someone outside the city who doesn't seem to think the sky is falling on the Wlls Fargo Center. (Inside the city too)
