The top guys are cant miss, therefore the offer for them must be cant miss. Were better off using vanek and miller and staff to get first rounders and prospects. We will be picking top 3 the next few years. We should gave 3-4 top 16 picks this year.

Those 2 2nds are trade chips... plain and simple... I have gotten the drift that Darcy wants to keep his 2 1sts.... and trade at least Miller or Vanek for another 1st. If that other 1st is a late one then use the 2nds to move a trade.

Darcy lost his best guys because old ownership wouldnt pay them. Hes a amazing trader, and every gm makes a mistake or 2.

Vanek and miller will both bring a top 15 pick and a prospect. I think Vanek goes to the Jets they pushed hard for him deadline day. We would get 13 and a top prospect or burmistrov.

Miller most likely will go to phoenix for 12 and a prospect

He's a good trader, but he often waits too long to make a trade, he hesitates and he's not a great drafter. Let's just give him more time and excuses. 16 years and not much to show for it, but it wasn't his fault.

He is regardless because the price would be so sky high anyway. 8 + 16 is a nice position to be in. Plus we have like at least 7 2nd rounders in the next 3 drafts. Maybe more.

Doubt it. We should look to move at least one of those two this summer - but I will roll my eyes when people complain it's not for a lottery selection.

Im actually excited about having 2 picks in the top 20 of this draft. And if we can trade Miller and/or Vanek for more in the first round, this could be a very lucrative draft for the Sabres. The 2003 draft, which this has been compared to time and again, had a lot of near elite players later in the first round and beyond. We just need to find the right picks. Can't wait for the 30th
