Since (26 yr old) Bobby Ryan rumors are heating up again. Would anyone do Nino, Andrew MacDonald and our 1st round pick (#15) for Ryan and their #2 & #3 rd picks. Is that fair? Anaheim is supposedly looking for young "D". We've got "D" coming out of our ears. Some have to be expendable.

I dont think they would have to add picks in

Nino our pick & A-mac seems like a good starting point, they will say Hamonic.. we can come back with adding deHaan.

What about one of our other "D" Prospects? We have quite a few. We wont have room for all of em. Between those listed on the Isles roster and those in the system the total is 26 "D" men.

I cant say I know what they want, but I have to think its D-men that are ready to play now.. deHaan has been ready for 3 seasons now he's just keeps getting hurt. Trade him before he hurts himself again.

I'm not sure that seems like a lot for the Isles to give up.

Nino is a blue chip prospect
the 15th is a 1st rounder in a deep draft
A-Mac is a starter with some upside
deHaan is a former first rounder with a boad load of talent, but really injury plagued.

If it took more then that.... im not really sure what else we can offer.. or afford.

He was saying it would be an absurd price to pay for Bobby Ryan, and he's right.

But that's what you are looking at for a player like him with 2 years left on his contract.

I think it would be alot to give up as well.. Id rather take my chances with Nino.

BR is a former 2nd over all pick, 4 time 30 goal scorer avgs about 60 pts a season, 26 years old, 2 years left on his contract....he's not gonna move for scraps.

I just suggested this trade to test the waters and to get some discussion going but someone is going to over pay for BR. Anaheim wants "D". They want to get younger at that position. We have more then enough "D" prospects in Jr, Bridge and LI that we can afford to give up one or two and never notice their gone. Nino seems disenchanted with the franchise. There will not be enough room in a yr or two to accomodate all these prospects who will be figthing to make the Isles. Bobby Ryan is a very good player. Nino, AMac and the #15 is not over payment in my book for a guy like him. Especially with a draft pick coming back. If DeHaan is the deal maker or breaker. Send his scrawny injury prone a$$ along with them before he files an insurance claim!

Tough one SCLI. I have no problem giving up AMac just the idea of giving up both Nino and the #1 seems to be too much. I would look to get a real impact dman if I'm giving up this type of package. BR can walk in two years as well and seems to have real love for Philly.

big B. Ryan fan, kid could be a consistent 40g w/JT....
Ducks are also trying to rid themselves of their older D vets, maybe the pot doesn't have to be sweetened if we help take back salary....Sbisa, Bouchamin, Allen would help our D

Your rite about Philly, but if the kid come here 1st, nobody leaves NYC for Philly...

ask Nabby, Viz, Weight, Guerin, etc......

Plus the Isles will be a contending team, no reason to leave....

I think he would love NY and maybe Philly will not have the cap room in a few years as well if they keep adding guys like Streit I still think it's a lot to give up for Ryan. I have not seem him play that much but still would be hard to give up Nino and the #1. Maybe if Hiller is included it may be easier. I'm glad it's not my call.

I want to hear what Islander fans think of these proposals.

Ryan miller for 15th and nino.

Ryan miller and a second for 15th, reinhart, and we buy out diepietro.

1st deal seems much more likely to me.

Ok, let me help you understand bc others that post trades do not....

first of all, all your proposals are over-payment from Isles, so not happening, but I do understand how other fans over-value what they have.

Isles are in NO DESPERATE need for a goalie, and also bc the goalie market is saturated with plenty of options, Isles will not over-pay....get it.good.....

Miller will either come by pick or lesser prospect or player. We don't need Buff to buy out DP, plus any of our young top prospects will only go if a YOUNG PROVEN NHL player comes back in return, not an aging player with ONLY 1 yr left on contract, if that's the case, Isles will always resign Nabby....

So for you and others, if you are trying to ask about trade proposals,
1st - think of Snow being the GM and his track record
2nd -Get realistic of a trade, Snow will never over-pay
3rd - If any top prospect is traded, a young proven NHL player with STAR quality is coming back, or Snow will be patient and let top prospects mature
4th - Isles are in the driver seat w/cap flexibility and top prospects...Never Forget That.......

thank you, and come again.....

Crazy the draft is a week a way. I'll be out on Fire Island during the draft and opening day of UFA. I'll be on the beach checking my phone all day
