Since when did the CBC become the Tyler Seguin Cheerleading Network?
They went out of their way to do a segment in the first intermission on how much he works out at the gym... just in case anyone was questioning him.
He's got to be the most hyped guy who has contributed the least on the ice. Maybe Jagr. - Leeman4Gilmour
Yeah, cbc are wishing a better career for him than they do kessel for sure. I find the media and tv have a really weird perverse thing with toronto. They are more than willing to take advantage of thehuge amounts of money generated by them, but offer nothing in return |

i wanted us to draft saad, and was sad when we didnt - matt1337
We traded the 30th and 39th pick (4 picks before Saad was taken) for the 22nd pick (Biggs) |

Nah take gibson, jenner still looks like a great 3rd line center, gibson looks more like a number 1. I couldve told harri over percy at the time, but that may have also been my knights bias talking lol - pbrsimps
I think that Percy will turn into a solid guy, maybe something between a Dan Girardi/Dan Boyle... He's a solid allround guy who NEVER seems to panic with the puck. |

subban had 36 points in 81 games in his contract year, franson had 29 in 48. if you want to use that comparison, franson will be asking for 7 million lol voynov but similar numbers up this year so if anything he is a better comparison - matt1337
It's all about control ...UFA or RFA. I think Franson hits 27 next year so if the Leafs lowball him he'll just force a one year deal and hit UFAgency next summer.
If the Leafs want to lock him up and buy out some of his UFA years it's going to cost.
Its a tough contract because prior to this year Franson hadn't proven anything. |

Hmm ya, nothing is set in stone yet. Really hard to distinguish a prospect from being a great third line center to a solid 2 way 2nd line center. Just depends if he can score enough. - pbrsimps
ceiling is 2nd line center, but still solid 3rd liner

even more of a reason to trade him. send him to a team that is in dire need of a top 4 dman and is willing to pay him 4mil+ to do that. |

percy is a better version of gunnar, i think thats the best comparison to be honest, and easiest for the average leaf fan to understand since they watch gunnar and prob dont get to see girardi/boyle |

Likely at least a year or two, depends on how he copes with being a professional and whether he can strengthen his core to deal with the demands of playing against bigger, meaner bastards |

Yeah, Gunnar's a decent comparison, but he has a better touch with the puck and is a bit calmer with his play. He's almost a slightly slower version of Gards who passes rather than rushes |

i'd agree with that, but he picks his places to rush, like what gunnar does. again like i said, better version of gunnar |

Reims' hand is always too low, Corey's always seems to be too high. |

yea our future on d looks to be pretty solid. gards already made it, rielly will for sure, if percy and finn could make it that would be nice, even blacker |

Yup, if they do take MacKinnon it might be possible to pry Duchene from their hands... |

I think that Blacker could have a shot at the bigs in the next year or two. I could see a Gunnar/Dion - Gards/Franson - Fraser/Blacker set up. Would be risky as (frank), but would give them a good chance to develop |

you think fraser will still be a solid guy in 2 years? i think we would need to start giving our young guys nhl time at that point, and i don't see rielly having to play in the ahl, though he will play in the whl next year |
