Imagine your 16, you play junior, your getting "gifts" and stuff all the time from the team and girls are begging to lick you. Hard to be humble. Thats what a good leader on a team is so good for the younger guys these days for sure.

I think Bernier is a good goalkeeper, but......Reimer and Scrivens are not so bad that you are desperate for an upgrade. Think it's simply reflex to link the Leafs to any and all available goaltenders, but that should not be the case anymore....unless some in TOR is really in love with Bernier.

This one suggested in an RC thread about a week ago by someone listed as a Leafs fan, but I couldnt just take his word for it. The deal was:

7th ovr for Gunnarsson, Kulemin, and 21st ovr

I dont know if its enough from EDM as I havent a clue as to where either player stands in the Leafs organiztion, but is it close?

As a Leaf fan, I dont think I would do it. but its close. Would be a great trade for oilers though as it really address some needs.
I would try to get it done with just gunnar and the 21st but maybe add a mid tier prospect

I'd almost prefer to send one of the kids; send Gunnar and now we're really hurting at the back in terms of getting people on skates now.

Ya agree. I think gunnar is really underrated despite a somewhat shaky season (but I think he was dealing with hip issues)

I would agree with you to try to send a kid instead and keep our roster how it is with some minor tweaking. I dont want to trade gardiner either but who else other than rielly will edmonton accept?
Only reason i want the 7th is to perhaps draft monahan or lindholm. (I like lindholm better myself, more upside)

Phaneuf is from Edmonton as well. For hall straight up. or for Gagner and their 7th overall.

franson should be the one who is dealt. keep gunnar, i think if he sticks around percy can learn from him and take over what he has done (percy plays very similar to gunnar, but will be better)

I would send biggs for sure. also hes probably more needed for them compared to percy. they don't really have any big forwards who can play in the top 6 (not sure if biggs can play there, but he may one day) whereas they already have schultz, petry, klefbom and marincin.

I think what Edmonton needs on D is a guy who can take 20-25 mins a night, and keep things steady in their own zone. I could see them sending an offer out to both Scuderi and Douglas Murray.

I really hope that we get Scuderi

see, i think this is the best we will get out of franson. don't get me wrong, i like him on the point in the offensive zone, with his half clapper, but in the defensive zone he isn't great at all. for a guy his size he should be laying the body more. we have the tendency to never sell high on our guys, franson is probably our best chance to sell high for something we got for so cheap.

Also, i said franson, 21st and something for 7th, something probably being an average prospect, possibly even frattin/scrivens
