I read somewhere he may have interest in coming back.

And he clearly has issues with american politics. maybe he wants to come to toronto to get away from it.

Highly doubt it though. and not sure u want a headcase like that mentoring

I can't see Thomas coming to the land of death panels, socialist medicine and gay marriage.

for some reason if he can be had for scrivens and frattin again, i think Nonis pulls the trigger. Plus i have a hunch that Tim Leiweke had some say into acquiring bernier as a 1-2 tandem sharing the duties if reimer falters. Going with two young goalies full of potential is a pretty good tactic over getting a guy like luongo who will take over reimers job completely along with tim thomas who can easily steal the job from reimer if he regained his form. Either way i like the idea of having a elliot/halak tandem scenario or the new one with tampa bishop/lindback

I dont think he looked that out of place in NHL IMO. The fact remains that there arent really many options to address that center depth.

1) Resign Bozak at way too much $$ and put him as 3C then.
2) Go with Kadri-Grabo-Colborne
3) Spend the Bozak and Macarthur money on Ribeiro and have him as your #1C. (My personal preference)

Sniff around and see if you can "buy low" on a legit top line centre. If not I'd rather a short term deal on a vet like Ribeiro. And even if nothing worked out and they were going to role with Kadri and Grabo on the first two lines than they can still grab a 3rd line centre like Gordon or Cullen.

Let Colborne work his way in ...earn his minutes.

Will he have issues with Toronto politics?
