Nah trade the pic. - Fakepartofme
Trade it in a package for a good young 2nd line center with top line potential. |

2 things...
1- I'm not arguing Bozak is a top line center, or that the Leafs should keep him... he's a 2nd/3rd line center, who would be nice to keep under 4 mil.
2- You can't seriously compare Steckel to Bozak. - Feeling Glucky?
I am willing to read the stats that support Bozak as a #1 center. Someone should be able to provide something to show he improves Kessel and Lupul/JVR if thats the case.
i havent seen that yet. I just read people say hes good at faceoffs, has chemistry with Kessel and is a good checker.
From what i can see Grabovski is a bettter option for #1

Yeah but if you do not give the guy a chance, how do you know how we will play? Everytime i saw him play those preseason exhibition games, he played pretty good, always wondered why he was never given a chance. You got to give some of our young guns a chance to prove themselves - Mapleleafs_91
Yes of course, I concur.
But you cant give too many a chance all at once.
It depends on what direction the leafs are going. |

So other than Phaneuf, Gardiner, Franson and Fraser, we have too many average defensemen?
If they can add someone to play with Dion and/or reduce minutes for Dion they will be in good shape.
Leafs G/A went from 15th to 8th last year. They are on the right track - Canada Cup
Thanks mcclement |

Center aside, Flames are looking for more prospects/picks and are shopping players....any interest in Cammy? |

Well if the leafs actually found a guy to play with phaneuf, would be nice to have something like:
_______ Phaneuf
Gardiner Franson
Fraser Blacker
I wonder if ference can handle top line minutes? He would be an excellent addition on defense i would think, even what dozzer said with ron hainsey could be a nice addition as well? I don't think liles would fit the role next to phaneuf, those guys would pinch way too much with that line always getting caught |

Thanks mcclement - Mapleleafs_91
Thanks magical considering his TOI was 18th on the team and lower than all defensemen including Komi.
Point is the Leafs defense corps made significant improvements under Carlyle last year but they need to add another piece |

no doubt.
I'm in southern Alberta. Medicine Hat. Definitely not as much money, but housing is pretty cheap here compared to the rest of Alberta. Nice city to. Moved here from the east coast about 8 years ago, and wouldn't even think of going back. - joel878
Yeah, its a bit too country for me, but its a nice town. We were there last year when my brother came over as he had friends that he wanted to visit. Its perhaps a bit too quiet for my liking though! |

will NYI enforce Tim Thomas' last year of his contract?
or let him be a UFA?
if he's a ufa, wonder if he would be good to back up reimer?

Thank you carlyle, for turning franson into a beast but yeah carlyle really turned this team around BIG TIME, coach of the year, all the other coaches can bow down to his superiority |

He doesn't. The Bozakians will tell you Kessel has put up his best numbers playing with Bozak ....and he's good at faceoffs. The CommonSensians realize that Kessel was going to put up those numbers with or without Bozak.
If Bozak is the Defensive Straw that stirs that line ....than why is that line a minus at the end of every year? If you want to get a really good defensive centre to play with Kessel - fine, do it. But Bozak isn't even that. He's a below average second line centre who plays video games with Kessel at night. |

So dropping Bozak and upgrading Macarthurs spot drops this team to a high draft pick?

I read somewhere he may have interest in coming back.
And he clearly has issues with american politics. maybe he wants to come to toronto to get away from it.
Highly doubt it though. and not sure u want a headcase like that mentoring |

They need to get better/stronger down the middle. Colborne hasn't shown he can excel in the AHL yet ....let alone centre an NHL checking line.
I was being a little tongue n cheek but seriously I don't get why we don't aspire to something much better than Kadri-Grabo-Colborne centreing the top 3 lines. |
