Nino isn't a B level prospect though.
Also Hemsky was getting top 6 time last year. - Lahey
I wasn't saying for Nino. I'm just saying Hemsky isn't a salary dump. He played well decently last year until he broke his foot blocking a shot n tried to play through it.
Salary dump IMO, means you have to give them an extra asset to take on the contract. Hemsky is still a fine player |

When he wasnt playing with Horcoff. - Jeropotato
He was all over the place. Was with Gagner and yak for a chunk as well.
Fact is ES time he was 5th for forwards, overall 6th, PP 5th.
He had time. |

Something tells me someone is going to overpay him. Unless he signs cheap to stay in PIT.
The guy sucked this year for a good chunk in Dallas. Not sure I want to get into 3 or 4 year length deals with him. Maybe it was the lockout, but too much risk. - Lahey
Morrow had 11P in 30 games n got a great prospect and a pick at the deadline. Not out of the question that EDM could get a decent prospect for Hemmer |

Seidenberg and Boychuk are the #2 and #3 D men on the team that may well win the cup in the next week.
I'd say Boychuk n Petry are the closest of the bunch, but edge still goes to Boychuk n the entire BOS roster. You don't have the 3rd least GA in the league by having worse D than the Edmonton Oilers. - TheNugeIsHuge
GA is largely affected by goaltending and in this case Rask definitely proves that. |

Yes,$ and term would have to be very, very reasonable. I would make a phone call, but I wouldnt get into a bidding war. 2 years,6 mil about caps it for me. |

J.Jokinen who has similar point totals and is making 2mil less had to be dealt with CAR keeping part of the contract. I just don't see how Hemsky who did very little last year gets dealt for anything of value at 5mil. He was scouted a lot too.
Also salary dump doesn't just mean you have to give an extra asset. Trading them for low end picks or players is also a dump. |

That's because Morrow is a gritty player who plays playoff hockey and has great leadership.

I know. I said he was a #2 on a championship team - TheNugeIsHuge
I wasn't trying to argue. More replying to the other poster I guess. He's a lot better than Smid. Ference is pretty solid too. That Bartkowski kid is a keeper too. That kid can fly. |

20 mins a night with Horcoff is about the same as 5 mins a night with Joe Thornton,IMO. When he played with Yak and Gags early on,didn't he do okay? I can't remember but I thought he led the team in scoring at about the 15 game mark. |

I sooner go after Bickell even though I think he is overrated. At least he's younger and has potential to some degree. That and I do think if both guys lose their offense, Bickell is probably doing more for you and you don't risk that chance of him pulling a Whitney.
FYI: Whitney= Disgruntled Vet |

great - TheNugeIsHuge
And a Hall of famer on defense. guess what I'm saying is Seidenberg and Boychuk look better when they have a guy like Chara in front. Petry probably would too, but we will never know until the team acquires someone else to be the number one defenseman. |

Further more to Chara is their forwards aren't complete (frank)ing turnover machines and know how to backcheck properly and where to be. |

Ok, I might have read it wrong.Goaltending ids really the only factor in Sv%, where as total team defence has a greater impact on GA. You can have an excellent sv% and a poop GAA. |

Sure can't pay him for playoff points, I would hope the Oilers have learned that. Bickell would be a nice addition at the right price though. |
