Throw 1.4/3 years at maxim lapierre.
4th line center solved. Can play 3rd whenever needed quite well too.
Big, dirty, agitating. Not soft.
I fuking hate the guy, and thats the kind of guy that we've been talking about in our bottom 6 - hugefemale dog77

Yep, i guess so.
I dunno, Maybe im looking at it the wrong way. But you'd think both remarks seem to limit available options instead of the desired opposite effect.
But at least in colorados case, they could just flat out be full of it and it really makes no difference - hugefemale dog77
That would be (frank)in awesome if they turned around and drafted him now. Just messing with everyones heads |

Why would anyone offer anything? They've already showed their cards - Ihatebrianburke
Maybe fla was hoping/ planning for mackinnon and col is enticing them into an offer.
And if there's literally one organization that's known for moving up and down in the top 3, its florida. Different gm, but just sayin....

I don't understand why people keep bringing up one of our potential superstar kids for Letang. Does anyone else realize he's a UFA next year? Let's just trade Ebs who's signed for 6 for a guy that could potentially walk. Seems very intelligent, and you want more then Eb's? GTFO |

Might as well get a few oilers killers on our team for once. Lapierre, maybe cal clutterbuck? That would be a heck of a 4th line (Brown, Clutterbuck and Lapierre)
Is Tyler Arnason still around? He was one hell of an oiler killer. - unkydav

But it's Interesting either way. This brings tampa into the mix too as fla must be more interested in a forward, while the bolts must be more interested in a defencemen.
And If your florida why not at least attempt to maximize your assets?
Even if u wanted drouin over jones, at least try to bluff tampa into giving u a second rounder for the pick. They refuse and call you out? Fine, u take JD and be happy regardless |

I have been reading the previous pages about NYI talk, and most of you guys are pretty intelligent. I can't see the Isles trading Nino to you guys. I just don't see a trade that would help both teams. Also, Nino wanted to get traded before the start of last year, and after making the playoffs and speaking to Garth things seem to be ok. He said hes looking forward to trying to make the team this coming year. I can see a Nino for Bernier swap, but I just don't see things working out between the Isles and Oilers. |

Yeah for sure but I wouldn't say one good prospect qualifies as good drafting. One of two scenarios play out this summer either Calgary has a good draft or a bad one. The outcome will dictate the competitiveness of the club for the next decade. If I was a flames fan the last guy I would want calling the shots this summer is Feaster. If reports are true that Shanahan will be eventually taking over the team now is the time, otherwise he's going to have quite the mess to clean up. - Mr.Awsome
One good prospect ? Just because you don't see a first overall in their prospect pool doesn't mean his drafting is crap. 2011 draft has granlund who has had good WJC , wootherspoon who played for Canada and in the mem cup , gaudreau who played great on a gold medal states team , and broissot in the 6th round looks like a decent goalie prospect
Not bad for feaster a first draft |

Honestly though I could see a deal maybe not for Nino, but if Snow wanted Hemsky it shouldn't be hard to make a fit. |

Where does nino most likely slot in if he makes your squad?
Would he be happy with 3rd line minutes? Does this maximize his skills? Is he strong defensively?
I think clouts only ever looks at deals from our side of it. That plus his penchant for a roster full of 21 year olds. We could use a big, talented left winger in our top 6 and He hears nino wants out...this is how entire blogs get started!
But i really dont know what we have thst helps u guys. Maybe hemmer for some more pure talent on the right side? but with the perception of hemsky, of course i dont see that straight up either |

I think it depends on Strome. I don't think Nino makes the first line going into the season. I can see a swap being made once the season starts, but at the start of the season I would expect him to play on a third line. That third line might be very good though, with lots of young talent. If Strome makes the team and earns a first line spot, then I can see Nino playing on the third line for a while. He probably wouldn't be happy, but if the team is winning that's all that matters. It might be the third line but if there is young talent that is performing, I think he'll be ok.
I don't know the Oilers too well at all, but the isles need a top defenseman and goalie. That's most important, but they could also use a top RW to play with JT. That's why I'm not sure if a trade with the Oilers really makes sense at this point. |
