Name ONE factual event that has taken place, where he would wear on your patience?

Honestly, I am done with our media. I stopped reading any and all Bryz related material about 2 months ago. Literally, completely stopped reading.

His contract and his stats.

The circus just grinds on me. It's unavoidable.

What's wrong with that if Read will never be more productive then he is now? A 20 goal scorer who plays well both ways. And can play in all situations. Really to be a value to the Flyers going forward, he really doesn't need to get a lot better. Just needs to continue to be what he is now.

Nothing's wrong with that... it's just that his trade value might never be higher... last year of a super-value $900k deal, possibly can't be re-signed... it's a now or never trade chip (if they want max ROI).

Here's an interesting thought (to me anyway), where does Bryz land if he is bought out? Does he go back to Russia or field interest from the NHL? If the NHL, who would be interested?

I got no reaction at all when I posted it yesterday.

If you didn't think Emerick was annoying before, you will now.

I dug it. I was just too high on ecstasy while enjoying it, so I couldn't post.

With the team on the verge of insolvency, it might be hard for Lou to do anything this summer... which is a beautiful thing for us.

I don't agree that it's a now or never trade chip. Any team that acquires him now, will be faced with the same scenario as the Flyers are faced with. Having to re-sign him. A player like Read, signed to a solid deal, if he continues to play at the level he has. Is a very valuable player and a solid trade chip if needed. A player that the team trading for him, has him under control for a number of years, ups the value.

Still will never understand why they didn't forfeit their #1 pick (29th overall) last year.

Can't do it this year (good pick and draft in NJ), and if things don't go perfectly for them this season, might be in the lottery again next year.

Toiling in obscurity is probably a more appropriate term than struggled.

I don't know how much people know about Matt Read's path to the NHL but I'm pretty sure he's been cut from a number of teams before landing with the Flyers. Call it whatever you want but some players get drafted and play as young as 18 but in Read's case, I believe he was 25 before getting where he aimed to be. As you did point out though, Read vs. Bernier, I'm far from ready to call either guy legit. I also agree with you that players who sometimes come into league late, exit early. It's possible this trend could change.

Lou get's a lot of undeserved credit, IMO. There's a few moments of genius there, like taking a chance on Parise and snatching up DeBoer, but mostly it's been a parade of failed prospects, terrible contracts, getting caught breaking the rules, coaching carousel, etc.

If he didn't have Brodeur to even out peaks and troughs for him...

I want Jagr to win a Cup as much as I want him to score a goal this series.

I believe how he's playing now is more relevant than how he made it to the NHL 2 years ago and what he did prior to that.

That pass was so hard that Crawford missed it twice -- once w/ the stick, once w/ the right pad.

As least the way I see it, the team has bigger holes than lacking a winger such as Bobby Ryan. Those needs starts with a long-term mission to rebuild the top end of the blueline (signing Mark Streit adds an offensive specialist, not a top-pairing anchor) . In my opinion, the organization is better off right now stockpiling assets and building system depth at all level, not depleting from it for quick fixes.

this.

I have to admit that I'm a huge fan of Toews. But he has been disapointing in this Series. And for most of the playoffs. That's the Selke winner there caught in no man's land, leaving Bergeron unchecked.
