Duchene, Landeskog, Varlamov, McGinn, and ROR are RFA's after this year and already make 3.5, 3.75, 2.83M, 1.75M, and 5M... they will all have to get raises from that number...

They only have 10M in cap space right now with 22 skaters.. yes taking Stastny's 6.6M off the books would get this accomplished most likely.

reading all of the stats that people have dug for on here.... even if Vanek is a streaky bastard.... he still puts up the points.. he still is a PPG player.. and he still has the 3rd most points in his draft class which is considered one of the deepest drafts in recent history.

he has his value... just a bad offer sheet has muddied the water surrounding his worth to our team.

Stastny has had the same numbers as Roy had for Buffalo but makes 2.5M+ than he did. Stastny has also declined drastically as the talent on his wings has declined too.
